The truth is that I really got it in two. When I went back later to copy my result to paste it (since it was one of my better days), the application seemed to forget I'd already played - allowing me to get it in one.

Holgate performed well at the end of last season as well. Hopefully turned the corner. We will need him

Iwobi very solid, Tark was excellent but I voted for Patterson. In his first real debut against a top 4 type side I was really impressed. Got done by Sterling once but so do most and it’s his first real action. His desire to get up the pitch and contribute was obvious but that isn’t the thing that caught my eye the most. He is an aggressive defender in the best sense. A couple of times a ball went out wide and he hounded their player without fouling. Never let them turn to face him and it resulted in a turnover. Love that. He also has some fire to him. I don’t know how good he will be but he isn’t scared to play and that’s a really good sign.

Iwobi for me too. 
He is sharp and he sees things a lot quicker than anyone else. His energy levels were great too. 
Holgate deserves a shout for coming in like that and doing well.

Iwobi. He's turning into the player Arsenal thought they had. Glad to see him continue his form from last season. 

Weird match. 
Came away from a defeat feeling a bit optimistic. Most of the team actually looked good. And we had a positive…. Mina went off injured.
Iwobi looks to have carried on last seasons second half form.
Tarkowski looks solid.
Holgate looked like the player he used to be.
Doucs full of energy.
Gray is just one of those players that can create things, but you have to accept he isn’t the hardest worker.
Myko… excellent for most of the match. Patterson looks a premier league player.
one the other hand.
Pickford.. not one, two but three brain farts.
Mina, as usual gets beaten to any challenged header by the shortest guy on the pitch. But he does win pretty much 90% of free headers.
Gordon. Get rid of that swagger, your not there yet. You looked more like forest gump today.
Oneil, not your best game. 
 
Dele, so frustrating. Did some really good bits at the hardest parts, but then fails on the simplest?

Shortly after Sterling got a free kick for falling over; right decision there the penalty doesn't happen.

With the addition of Coady, Onana and gueye - I’m content with everything bar striker. Need 2 strikers bringing in.

I think, despite the result, we've got to try to look at the positives here. 
We did alright, despite having no striker, against a decent team. They could only get a daft penalty. Chelsea had more shots on goals, but I wouldn't say they were dangerous. Lots of their players were quiet today.
We blatantly need more options up front. I don't think we were shit, but we had absolutely no cutting edge.

I think your being a bit unfair. I did see him breathe, that’s gotta hurt.

Okay was expecting to lose 0-3. We have them a soft goal & lost 2 of our CB’s. Add a striker to that line up and some more depth on the bend and I’m okay with it going forward.
Iwobi MOM for us imo. Gordon & Gray both poor. Tarkwoski will be a huge player for us. Myko & Patterson looking good.

To be fair, played much better than I expected. We weren't overmatched, defense looked much more solid.
We are just desperate for creativity and a proper forward

Definitely a pen you can’t pull players back in the area they are going to go down. 

I’m a fan of Godfrey, but hate to say it, it’s done is good Holgate coming on.
Godfrey just isn’t a presence in the air and it was hurting us. At least Holgate has come on and offered us something there.

I'm not sure the downside will be that considerable. Even if it doesn't work out and he stays at the level he is now, we are probably getting at least half our money back (subject the wages we give him). 
I think the issue for us at the moment is that we are desperate to improve our midfield significantly in this window. We have improved, but there is an element of us now having 3 Doucoure style players on the books whereas I think we need someone to dictate that area and have a bit of quality on the ball. If we can get a player like that in as well, we would go from having one of the weakest midfields in the league to having a really solid one with options/replacements as well.
