One would have to think this means at least one of Keane and Mina were set to leave. I suppose we are a bit lucky these injuries happened before they left as now we can alter plans a bit. Of course if Mina was sold before he was hurt that would have been ideal.

I think they do too, they come out of the blocks so fast every single game. They have teams polished off within 20 minutes where as City are much more patient and build attack after attack, wearing down the other team.
I would love to see us go out and try to blow teams away from the first whistle, rather than huff and puff for 90!

Think it’s a bit tough blaming it on the linesman mate. Poor back pass and just unlucky after a full blooded challenge to recover his mistake. Unfortunate but it happens.

Thing is you’ve got to be pretty reliable to be a captain. Pickford was all over the place on Saturday, he often is.  I’d sooner he is responsible for focusing on his game, far too snarky and confrontational with his teammates and unless you have a blottless copybook you can’t be like that.

It seems like we are focusing on reliability and leadership in some of these deals. Gueye, Tark, Coady. Even the youth we have in Patterson, Myko, Amadou (according to his coaches) have some of that character in them. 
Even after the loss and the injuries I’m feeling pretty hopeful about the longterm.

It's even weirder if you compare this game with the start of last season. We won some of the early games against lower opposition, but only just. Then, I was left with the feeling that we played poorly. Here we are starting the new season with a loss yet I felt we deserved more from the game - and we were playing without a recognized striker and suffered two early injuries. I agree with you: We're going to be just fine this season. Indeed, I would venture to say that we might even make it to the top half of the table.

What fans ask for is some consistency between Refs no matter what games they are officiating in. 

They don’t have it in for us. I don’t think most sensible supporters would think that really. The problem is that they are of a terrible standard, and to add to it they are weak and let certain clubs dictate what happens on the pitch. Not necessarily in a corrupt way, more in a way of not being strong enough. Yesterday letting Chelsea run down the clock, not giving a yellow card for a blatant shirt pull (gave the foul so much have seen it). It’s just a poor standard and very weak lack of control.

Honestly think Frank wanted to play him for a few matches to put him in the shop window. But Mina cottoned on to it and stood on a blade of grass on purpose.

Absolutely, all the more difficult now though when he shows he can injure himself jogging, he’s just a feckin liability on all levels.

Even on the pitch he wasn’t our best defender though. Made a couple of blocks, that’s it all game. Holgate came on and challenged.
