KinL reacted to memmaclub2 in Wolves at home Boxing Day
Let’s be honest mate Gordon has been poor since the summer bids from Chelsea. He was fresh faced and had boyish ethuiasm but he hasn’t moved on. McNeil I liked at burley but his stats didn’t back that up snd we bought him lamps decision. Grey for me is all tricks but not enough end product yes scores the odd worldly but it’s no surprise he was available for that money. Selling Richarlson is proving how glaring much we relied on him. DCL won’t be back as a perm 20 goal striker he is too injury prone.
we need to remember this was wolves they scored 20% of their goals in this match. 5th loss in a row.

I think that last goal was a perfect example about where it has all gone wrong for us this season.
We had no idea what to do with the ball to start with. Players all over the place. Onana, who is meant to be the one trying to get on the ball and dictate mainly just standing and waiting, it ends up in a long ball. No intensity. No tactical understanding.
Wolves break forward. I haven't watched it back but I thought we had the players to match them. I think it was Onana again who, despite his phsyical assets, doesnt want to get tight to the ball carrier and put him under pressure. When it gets to Traore, who despite his best efforts with a dodgy touch, he is given as much time and space as he wants by Tarkowski to fuck it up and still get a ball in. Then it comes down to who wanted to run the hard yards and who didnt. Ait Nouri did, he could even take a touch. Our players didnt. No intensity again.
It was just a complete and utter nothing performance yet again.

Don't be mean, he's hurt his vagina.

I'm sure Lampard will be sacked soon while Moshiri, Kenwright and the rest of the clowns take no responsibility for the mess they've created.
It's actually getting to the point where relegation doesn't phase me that much, because there's much bigger problems at the club.

Shots wide, over the bar, straight at goalkeeper. Incapable of an end product, except Yerry.

That last “attack” from us before their goal was embarrassing.

Again both subs reasonable IMO.
Maupay in particular has probably stayed on for longer than he should.

Bailey, I don’t think they went up any gears at 1-1 at all. We were still well on top and then gifted them a goal with some shoddy defending.
I thought over the whole game we were the better side. Which I was surprised about after how badly we’d played in that first half.
But, if you don’t make the most of being in charge of the game and score more than the opposition then you don’t deserve to win. It’s as simple as that.

I can’t believe he didn’t give the second one and needed VAR to step in.

Hopefully this will be the end for Southgate; for me, given the quality at his disposal, we've looked half decent in the last few years despite him, rather than because of him.
Imagine a Guardiola having that squad for example, we'd have trophies in the cabinet.

It's a shame this tournament is where it is, because it's been arguably the best and most entertaining WC in some time.

Easily the best team now, really ought to be winning this.

Good penalty, long delay but then he adds his own to collect himself. Game on.

VAR screwing us over, no surprise when every other country in the world hates us.

Feels very similar to watching Everton last year. Var and refs have their agenda, simple as that

KinL reacted to Cornish Steve in Wordle
I thought I'd try it, and here's how it worked for me.
Started with banana (16,982, so not too good)
Next was fence (5,675, much better)
Wasn't sure which type of fence, so next I tried
sword (12,638) so not that meaning.
perimeter (22,160), which is worse than sword. Now I'm puzzled.
wood (4,111 - best yet)
plank (41,810 - worst so far, to my amazement)
cane (11,687) an improvement
oak (15,833, not far from where I started!)
slat (25,287) getting colder again
stick (2,081) aha! getting warm again
twig (39,756) how frustrating is this?
baton (9,139) at this point, I'm thinking of wooden pointy things
pencil (5,070) smallish wooden pointy thing?
stake (9,673) must be too big
peg (15,857) - maybe not pointy enough?
screwdriver (24,523) forget that line of thought!
wand (6,731) - closer to stick and pencil
bat (7,364) - bigger and further away
match (3,637) - second-best guess after stick
toothpick (23,674) - so much for small pointy things!
rod (13,380) - back in banana territory!
At this point I asked for a tip, and the word 'example' showed up for 300. This implies some type of measuring stick. Let's follow that tack...
ruler (8,672) - not so good
mould (28,973) - this is awful!
pattern (4,562) - so my top five are example, stick, match, wood, and pattern. Hmm... Time to ask for another tip.
device (150)
knife (7,201)
sharpener (21,606)
prototype (7,452)
copier (16,040)
grater (17,158)
OK - I have work to do. What's the answer? I select 'give up'. And the answer is...
mail
Mail? What's that got to do with device, example, and stick? 🤔
