KinL reacted to Aidan in Tom Davies
There must be someone on a free on similar wages we can replace him with. He's one of those nothing players that doesn't excel in any particular area, and has a few average attributes. Disappointed if he does sign a new deal. Need to move on for the sake of his own career too.

KinL reacted to Gwlad in Conor Coady
Really not sure that he is what we should be signing, even short term.

KinL reacted to Bailey in Conor Coady
I'm not sure how reliable he is now. He played 3 games since October and in those games before his injuries they shipped a lot of goals.
I don't know what his performance levels were like in those games but I think there has to be a lot of doubt about whether he would be able to be relied upon and combined with what I expect are pretty high wages, it would be a poor signing in my book.

KinL reacted to StevO in Alex Iwobi
The problem with selling Iwobi is replacing him, not because he’s good, because we’re broke and quality costs money.
At the same time I don’t want him to hold the club to ransom for a big fat pay rise, making him paid more than many players in the league who could offer the same if not more output.

KinL reacted to Shukes in Alex Iwobi
He was pretty much an ever present last season. All the proof you need.

KinL reacted to Goodison Glory in Board/Owners Related Stuff
How depressing is it to keep coming back to see updates primarily to the Holgate and Iwobi threads...I keep hoping the Board Thread will be in BOLD with a new breaking update...:wishful thinking
Well at least it's bold now 😂😂

KinL reacted to Romey 1878 in Tom Cannon
I'd be looking to get shut of Simms and keep Cannon around. At least until we get some forward players in.

KinL reacted to Hafnia in Summer 2023 Transfer Window (The Great Everton Depression)
If we had Townsend fit we would have been a few points better off. Very solid player. Absolutely awesome strike on him.

KinL reacted to Palfy in Dwight McNeil
He has surprised me in the last 5-6 months, he is showing the attributes of why we bought him in the first place, strange that Lampard signed him yet couldn’t get much of a tune out of him, obviously down to lack of experience by both parties and the experience of Dyche has helped play to his strengths and potential. Long may it last.

KinL reacted to Shukes in Alex Iwobi
Yes and I agree with them. He is a very nice guy and one that his peers respect.
I respect him as well, and from what I have saw of him, he seems a great guy.
I just think he is an average premier league player that’s all. Just my thoughts though.

KinL reacted to Romey 1878 in Yerry Mina
Well played today... now don't let the door hit you on the way out.

KinL reacted to Heath in Yerry Mina
Mina has stood up to the task in our last few games and shown what he can do when fit, just a pity he wasn't used a little sooner. Good luck for the future, ya crazy bastard.

KinL reacted to Romey 1878 in Yerry Mina
Every time this thread is updated for the foreseeable I'm going to be worried we've offered him a new contract .

KinL reacted to Romey 1878 in Conor Coady
People keep saying this but you have to have a club that wants to buy them. It's not as easy as saying just get rid or they'd more than likely already be gone.
Rumoured interest in a couple of them in January, sure, but we don't know what terms were being offered. They might not have been favourable to us and we can't afford to take huge hits on deals when we're sailing close to the wind with our finances and that will be the case in the summer too.
The best case scenario would be to sell all 3, promote Branthwaite next season, sign a couple of defenders that can actually defend and leave Coady at Wolves.
The last bit has happened and it is the right decision. I liked him as a man and I liked how he bought into the club but as a defender he leaves a lot to be desired.
His defending against Villa for Buendia's goal was atrocious and every bit as shambolic as anything Keane, Holgate and Godfrey has done. He's much of a muchness with our poor defenders so why spend money on him when we can send him back and not? Plus, Dyche will be looking to play a back 4 and he just isn't as suited to playing in a 2 so it's wasted money.
If we didn't have to be frugal then, do you know what, I wouldn't be averse to us signing him (I certainly wouldn't have been devastated if we'd made him permanent tbh, not pleased but not devastated either). But we need to look after every penny, so I can completely understand why we haven't done it.
Who knows, maybe we're waiting to get him until we know we've sold someone. You know, the sensible option, and then you can all stop crying .

KinL reacted to Newty82 in Frank Lampard
I think he's still a good bloke. I'm sure he'd want the best for us. We gave him a good chance to sort it and he bought into the club.
Just a shite Manager 🤷♂️😂

Should have been sacked for his pathetic hard man interview the other week. Helmet.

KinL reacted to dunlopp9987 in Emiliano Martínez
Christ, just about gave me a heart attack. Thought we were in for trophy dick Martinez

KinL reacted to Palfy in Transfer Targets for 23-24
How did Holgate manage to secure himself 70k a week, it’s fucking embarrassing the amount of money we’ve been lavishing on some players, he wouldn’t be offered anywhere near that anywhere else. It really fucking annoys me how wasteful this club has been.

KinL reacted to Btay in James Garner
This lad is going to be some player for us. Build the midfield around him & hopefully Onana kicks on as well next season.
-
KinL reacted to Goodison Glory in James Garner
I feel about Garner the same way when we got arteta. Finally someone with some composure on the ball and a good pass.

KinL reacted to Wiggytop in James Garner
Showed all the promise we hoped for when he signed, one of the first names on the team sheet now.
