joking aside, I can only imagine the pain you must be in without all that lot, so I wish you a speedy recovery.

It was a mix of senior and young players not used to playing together so a decent showing I think.

The utmost respect for him. That is a huge, huge step & what he has gone through to sit there and just talk about it - I want him to succeed so much now because he very much deserves it!

I only spoke last night about sleeping tablets to Anna.
Im reflecting myself now and looking at other ways to combat sleepless nights.
If someone in a position like that can admit to it, then I have to start taking responsibility for myself and realise that anxiety is a massive thing. I sit there watching tv with my hand on my throat as it always feels like I’m being strangled or that something is tightening my throat. Yet I’m wearing no top. 
I lie in bed and once I have bit onto a thought I can’t let it go and won’t sleep. I have to go down stairs and turn on the tv. Then I usually find myself nodding off just before my 6 o’clock alarm goes off.
Why? This guy has been through hell and back. Had things happen in his life that no one should go through. 
 
I’ve got fantastic kids, a life long friend and partner in Anna who is my life. Don’t have much money, but enough to have a decent home and lifestyle. I have my own company, nothing special, but it’s mine. 
 
Im inspired by the way Deli has came out and spoken. I’m humbled, I’m upset, I’m willing with every bone in my body that he turns it around. Think I’m also in shock a bit if that makes any sense. 
 
You know what, I’m 50 on Monday….. and I’m gonna have the day off. Fuck it. I’m gonna have the day off and take Anna for a nice lunch time meal. 
 
Sorry for ranting guys, that’s just hit me a little harder than I could have ever expected.

After watching that interview, very tough watch, but he does look a lot healthier and I hope his recovery continues and he can enjoy life. 
 
From an Everton point of view, if we can get a healthy Dele on the pitch it could be huge for us and for him.

I've supported him for the most part but he'd be one that I would sell because, like Holgate, he never seems to match his potential and at 27, I don't see that changing now.

13 minutes into the full interview so far. Two things have got me feeling fuming...
1) He had to give this interview before he wanted to because the press were onto it and pestering the club. The press are poisonous. I don't know how that industry is allowed to function the way it does.
2) The way clubs are using sleeping tablets. These players are hammered so much they need to be given sleeping tablets to get a good kip? Ontop of all the other injections etc they tend to get...thats poor. Money over life eh.

He articulates himself very well. 
 
I had counselling over a period of a couple of months for anxiety and depression. The questionnaire that you have to complete each week touches on things such as “Shame”, “feeling like you are letting your family down” , “feeling hopeless”. I take a reasonably low dose of Sertraline every day and I’m thankful it takes the edge off for me. 
Sadly I think I can spot a person who struggles with anxiety and depression, although the depth of how it works can mean you miss it in many. 
God bless all those who struggle, you aren’t alone.

I've no idea who said what in here, don't even know what I've said to be fair!
But nows a good time for us to sit back and reflect on how we jump to things without knowing.
If we can get Dele back...man, we've made a whole new signing that will be worth every penny we'll have to pay.

What I will say is that is one courageous young man. To speak so openly about such a difficult subject. 
 
I have a new found deep respect for Dele now. 
My own troubles are so insignificant and small when you hear things like this.
