it would just nice this season to be in a position where we can put a young player on for the last 15-20min to see out a game, rather than putting them on to try and rescue a point.

If I were him I'd be pretty excited to get out there and play. Plenty of chances created today, even if he finishes one of them we're likely to build a statue out front

I don't read to much into players refusing to play now. Clubs can't have it both ways in that they want players to leave on their terms then try and force players to stay at the same time.

I thought he actually had his best game for us. If he would have capped it off with a goal he would have been MotM. 
Constant Thorn for them and got himself into position for four chances.
His first effort was a very good effort as well.

It looked like having a full pre-season of Dyche and how he wants the team to play had helped him a lot.
Obviously he could and maybe should have put have put one of his chances in the back of the net, but I was definitely more disappointed with Patterson's and Doucoure's missed opportunities.

I saw that too but too easy for anyone to write anything anonymously. I might be in the minority in that I actually thought he looked sharper yesterday than anything I’ve seen of him in an Everton shirt. He should obviously of scored, he’s not clinical and neither the answer to our problems when DCL isn’t fit. However, I’ve never seen him take up such good positions as he did yesterday. 

The abuse he gets is abhorrent but the fact remains he just isn’t good enough. 
Yesterday you couldn’t fault his effort and for once I actually thought his movement was pretty good, hence the chances he got
However this is what he was like at Brighton, he just can’t finish them. He is a Championship level striker and if we continue to persevere with him as our main centre forward that’s exactly where we will be playing next season
