Can't watch this one, but I hope the line up is that same as it was last time out, but if both Godfrey and Mina are fit I'd get them straight in and let Holgate and Keane fight for a spot.

Saw on twitter the other day a semi-reputable journo stating we were after a ball carring midfielder. Think he fits the bill for this one.

Doucoure although not much in it between him and Richarlison.

Looked really really good that second half, ran the midfield at both ends.

He looks way more suited to playing in that role compared to how Ancelotti wanted him to play last season.

The two center halves & the two central midfielders have been absolutely abysmal in possession.

I can't believe Keane. It's a horrible mistake but he knows his weaknesses and shouldn't be caught out like that. It'll set a precedent for him for this season and he will go back to square one with trying to convince the fanbase be is good enough.

Keane looked uncomfortable moving the ball with his feet maybe 3 or 4 minutes prior to his mistake.

How can a player at this level have such poor control of a football. Zero technique about him.

Here we go then. I'm not attending Goodison today, nor am I confident of a result or good performance - I am however still incredibly jealous of the fans that get to go today and hope you all enjoy it. I bet Goodison will be absolutely rocking.

With a thin squad due to isolation, and a natural lack of quality, I can see both teams today looking to be  resolute and focusing on a clean sheet before anything else. Our best player's who can play won't be fully fit either, DCL without a run out pre season & Richarlison must have tired legs. 

Our only hope is if the new boys step up, with a distinct lack of quality in the players available they must hit the ground running and I hope Grey and Townsend show how important they want to be.

I guess he's off then? Hopefully a decent fee so we can sign some players

It'll be interesting to see what formation we start with.

Not expecting much of a performance with the squad we have fit, all I want to see is desire and hard work.

I'm more excited to see Grey play than any one else really, so I hope he starts.

It leaves us with 3 'first team' CBs in Mina, Keane and Godfrey. I know people spoke about lads coming through but if we get 2 injuries at CB I don't think we have adequate cover.

However I'm not saying I particularly like Holgate as a player.

CB is really not an area we need to be offloading players in.

I'm sorry if I missed anyone but look at the state of that squad. Im absolutely terrified this season and the fact that we haven't brought anymore players in yet in embarrassing. The clubs around us are progressing well and making faily good signings whilst we're hoping for free/cheap players from the teams considered inferior to us. I'll be incredibly surprised if we finish any higher than 12th this season. More to that, get ready to watch some fucking awful football once again.

Oh and to add to that I've heard Thierry Small will be leaving the club, so not only are we not able to bring in good players we are also losing out prospects to the teams around us.
