  1. Has anybody ever had a Mars Bar Matinee ?
  2. Ah.... that's me fucked then (or not) whatever the case may be. I always thought "Any chance of doin' us a butty first" probably took the spice level down, but yer never went ungry in ar ouse lad.
  3. We all sigh when he goes off mate, but sometimes we have to trust in things we can't understand, and know that there are reasons we're not privy to.
  4. How is it obvious Zoo? Moyes has access to everything needed to make a decision. You have your 90 minutes of fan time. I'm sure Moyes would love to leave him on the pitch if he thought it would be in the lads best interest. We don't want him ending up like Michael Owen, where injury after injury became a nightmare.
  5. Mirallas needs to overcome an injury Pete, and if Moyes doesn't spare him he might be in and out throughout.
  6. Pete, we can't expect Moyes to be the full package. He is a relatively young manager, who is learning, and in time will no doubt be a very capable tactician. It's fine asking for a new manager to take on the team that Moyes has built by buying and selling wisely, yet it's another should any manager have had to take over the team that Moyes inherited. Putting the final piece in Moyes' jigsaw is something I'd like to see done by Moyes, and let's not forget that there is a team of coaches that manage Everton, not one man, and tactics are discussed across that team. My car can beat nearly all cars in a race (hypothetically) but it can't beat the latest Ferrari no matter who I put behind the wheel, as the Ferrari is too powerful, and that is the problem Moyes has. Each time we get close, the other teams buy a new engine. The other teams in the Prem are damn fine teams too, and we have no divine right to expect to beat them.
  7. Isn't it the players who bottle it? If you want experienced players, who know how to handle the pressure, you have to pay a premium. We've been in the top 4, Europe, and a Wembley final (unfortunately against Chelski) under Moyes. It's for the players to take the next step, or the board to provide the funding to get better players. It's a little ironic to lay the blame with Moyes. Nobody could have foreseen 3 goals in 5 minutes against Wigan after all.
  8. Don't you think he is already a decent player Zoo?
  9. He's a Left Back so I'd like to see him give Baines a break.
  10. Why do you think that Pete? It will all come out in the wash matey, and very likely all parties will be happy. Sign or not, he's been an excellent manager, thwarted only by circumstance.
  11. Not exactly Arnie Swartz is he, when you consider his 'hard man' reputation. So ... can we presume he is talking to the Arabs about taking over at City then? I actually think that is more likely than United.
  12. Hmm ... "Let's also make one thing clear - Moyes is .... " Not the greatest way to offer one's opinion to be fair Pete. Regarding his options: In my opinion, of course ....... 1: Accept a contract if it is offered to him by the club 2: Decline a contract if it is offered and he doesn't want to accept. Everything else, including all the if's and but's, are irrelevant. The club is able to offer what it is able to offer, and Moyes, should he be invited to negotiate a new contract, will have to do so based on the reality of circumstances, and not on speculation.
  13. I think Anichebe has it in him to be one of the Premier Leagues top strikers if he was to get a season of 90 minutes. I can't understand why he is constantly undervalued by fans.
  14. I'd like to see him get a go, but it's a long shot. He is an exciting player.
  15. Can we have a great big "IN MY OPINION" each time you post these apparent facts please Haf ? The only thing we 'do' know, is that we don't know didley about what is going on, and might be best to stop speculating.
  16. Didn't MikeO say he'd entered something?
  17. Dunc, are you me ? Rarely do you write anything that I don't have to look twice at to see if I wrote it. There is hope for me yet.
  18. It used to be ace watching football in the snow. Bring back the orange balls I say.
  19. Just don't tell him we hired government agents to make his old threads ... err ... disappear.
  20. Never heard of him, and doubt the story has any credibility.
  21. Get some nice sharp wire wool brushes instead while they're on offer.
