  1. It's from March. I don't know why he would be on our bus, other than maybe check down the seats for coins like most Reds. I think John is on the wind up.
  2. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1369448/Rafa-Benitez-My-dream-return-Liverpool--Id-job-Everton-Manchester-United.html
  3. That's your opinion, and not everybody shares it.
  4. All have done well, but Coleman has been a different class. How he didn't get player of the year is beyond me.
  5. Again, the only player who was consistent was Coleman imo.
  6. You can't half tell you live nowhere near Liverpool 'lad'.
  7. I've been disappointed with our 2nd half performances this season. First half we are always inspired, and then seem to succumb in the 2nd. It will be interesting to see if this continues under a new manager.
  8. Strange timing to be discussing the stadium really, though I think a lot of BU lads will want to put their thoughts across while the forums are busy and the clubs guards are down lol. If we can get a free stadium, cool, but how are we to afford new stadiums, plus all the disruption to the surrounding areas without help? I imagine that the cost of all this, versus the difference between current revenue over potential revenue would mean it would take a long time to get back in the black.
  9. 1-1. Good finish from Naisy, and should do his confidence the world of good. Earlier, Howard should have done better, but, heck; shit happens. What I notice about us is we pass the ball quickly, but with no purpose. We might want to slow down a touch, so we can read the opportunities better, as no point passing quickly when every 3rd pass is a backwards one. Run more 'off the ball' to create space and maybe shoot more rather than try for the perfect passing goal.
  10. Nobody is good enough for Everton John. Not even God himself.
  11. I'd be surprised if Lennon wanted to leave Celtic unless it was a huge step up. He probably knows more about football than we do. He is a fan, just like us, and goes to the match (more than most on here) and has all the inside knowledge that we don't. He doesn't have to necessarily be in touch with all the tactical side of the game, as that is the managers job. I'm sure he has many friends in the footballing world who will be in regular contact, so finding a manager will no doubt be a case of much recommendation, and gut feeling. I don't think Neville is fully licensed, but of all the candidates so far, he is actually the most experienced, and would probably be a great part of any team we may have. Is Moyes taking Round etc with him?
  12. He is a major shareholder and co owner. We are fans. We've discussed the nitty gritty percentages on here for years, like every other forum, so the need for detail isn't always needed among us in that respect, but whatever way you look at it, he is a theatrical person, and with it, has a big personality.
  13. I'm actually scared we'll have another 11 years of your moaning.
  14. We are tiny compared to the clubs we are trying to compete with, and the quicker fans realise this, and stop expecting us to be their equals, the less they'll be disappointed, and the more they'll be rewarded in context. Ask yourself what 'you' do for a living, or me, or most here, then compare our situation to that of Kenwright, and tell me he is not a fantastic businessman. You don't always get things right in business, and lots of fans seem to think they are better at business than he is (they can show evidence can they?) but he is a top notch business man, proven in his specialised field as the best, and as a chairman, he is far better than many out there. Why shouldn't he praise Moyes? Moyes has been wonderful for our club, and he hasn't betrayed us, or sold us out, but been recognised for his work, by the biggest job in football. I don't really see how any fan can not be proud of the man, and wish him the best, and that is what Kenwright is. Life isn't always about painting the right picture or pleasing others. Kenwright owns Everton FC, and if he wants to tell the world how great Moyes is, then he is more entitled to do that than anybody else, and I think it says a lot of good about a man who can genuinely lose something he loves, yet embrace it, and celebrate it, and know that it's a special moment in football, and our club are more interested in being human than we are in being politically correct. It's not our club. It's 'his' club, and personally I admire the man for all his passion, and couldn't really give a toss about the small minded who continually complain or find fault. For me, if they can't find anything positive about our club, then perhaps go to the cinema instead. Moyes 'is' the best manager in the world in his eyes, and to be honest, probably in my eyes too, but any new manager will get exactly the same opportunity to do what Moyes has done, and we don't have to play Moyes down, in order to inspire and embrace a new manager.
  15. Ok mate. Next time you're getting the Mr Angry smiley though.
  16. We will see a lot of this over the years as clubs struggle to keep up with the cost of the game, due to the greed of the players and agents and the expectancies of fans. A great club like Coventry City too.
  17. You're not thinking logically mate. Kenwright deals with the public eye for a living. To suggest he doesn't know how to handle the press is just silly. When you look at Kenwright as a business man, you don't compare him to Manchester United's wealth etc, but look at his own personal achievements as a business man. He owns one of the biggest theater companies there is, and also owns Everton FC. You don't get that far without being a business man, and very astute. We were light years behind other teams long before Kenwright took over.
