A bloke walks into a pub and tells the barman that all Liverpool fans are arseholes. A guy in the corner stands up angrily and says "Hey, I resent that comment mate". The guy asks "Why, are you a Liverpool fan?" The guy in the corner says "No, I'm an arsehole".

I see 2 things here: a: The guy rolls straight into the forum with a huge first post, probably a little too much for most fans to take in, rather than 'easing' his points into a debate. b: In typical TT style, it turns into a bit of an uncomfortable thread as those that are uninterested needlessly post, and those that 'are' interested probably don't as a result. All parties then get defensive, which is silly. Personally it strikes me that the guy posting has an agenda regarding promoting this subject, be it a personal interest, or on behalf of the BU, as it stands out a mile that he isn't your typical forum spammer. He's still an Evertonian though, and obviously has the interests of the club in mind, regardless of if we agree or disagree, so why not be a little more hospitable ?

Why do pro players need coaching anyway? If they're not ready, pay them apprentice wages until they are.

I think my comment regarding Fair Play is even more warranted then. Newcastle finished high last season, so maybe they attracted more attention, but it's another example of how difficult it is to compete with other clubs.

That's a bit 'pint half empty' lol, but still, why the other teams are afforded double what we get, despite us competing, and indeed finishing above LFC is not exactly what you would call 'Fair Play'. It must be down to European matches live on tv.

I don't see it like that to be honest. I thought Coleman was doing both the job of a defender and a winger. Mirallas wasn't always ahead of Coleman either, often playing on the left. The amount of times Coleman took the ball forward and made a cross was possibly even more than Baines, with the difference being Baines was afforded link up play, where as Coleman would often get there on his own merits.

It's probably best to switch off and just wait and see what happens. Well have another dose of frustration soon enough with the next window.

Jelavic needs a bit of luck really. He reads the game well enough to get into good positions, but I think there is a lot of pressure on him to score, which won't help. Give him a run out in midfield for a change of scenery maybe.

Why? Our defense is pretty solid normally, and easily one of the best defences in the Prem. Until the last few matches, only City had less conceded goals. We're still better than United too.
