  1. It's cool mate. Nobody else gets my humour on here either. To me, it's so obvious, but unfortunately not to others.
  2. I spent the first 5 minutes considering this, hence my 'ffs'.
  3. Watching Brazil v France. Decent game. 1-0 to the nuts.
  4. You didn't actually watch the game then I take it?
  5. Maybe, just maybe, I credit some of you with too much intelligence. Have you ever thought about contemplating why pace is great if 'everybody' has it, rather than just make a silly pointless post? Picture Franky the Falcon on one wing, and Charley the Cheetah on the other. Harry the Hippo, Larry the Leapord Seal, and Billy the Blob Fish are in midfield, whilst upfront we have Peter the Pot Bellied Pig. We've been stuck in our own half when suddenly, Franky the Falcon gets the ball and zooms up the left side. (I'd have said left wing, but with Franky being a Falcon, it might have thrown you). Hot in pursuit, Charley whooshes up the right. Meanwhile Franky goes to cross the ball, and Peter, Harry, and Larry are nowhere to be seen, as no matter how hard Billy the Blob fish tried to get upfield, he just couldn't get past the big fat arses of slow coaches, Harry and Larry, and poor Peter the Pig had been fouled. So not being deterred, Franky launches it high across the pitch to Charley, who launches it back across to Franky. 30 crosses go by before finally Billy the Blob Fish gets on the end of one and nuts it in the back of the net. So, you're right. We don't need to match pace across the pitch, as we have 90 minutes, and the others will get up there eventually.
  6. Like I've said, there are lots of sites out there talking bollocks, and they all copy one and other. She must have had a great walking stick, as to get to the ground to do business at 150 or so years old was quite a challenge. Maybe she phoned up for a taxi and caught a kebab on the way.
  7. Everybody is in it for the money. Saudi needs managers too, after all.
  8. Badges are just art, and art is subjective and not to everybody's taste. The badge isn't intricate in design, and a bit plain, but the fuss it caused has been bandwagoned and encouraged on the Internet. 90% of those who make a fuss probably didn't really care too much before somebody else pointed things out.
  9. Not really. My point is that you can be a great goal scorer in a lower division, and still score goals in a higher division, as the talent is in the individual. Knowing how to kick a ball, head a ball, finding great positions, and having good instinct doesn't go away just because you move upwards. What is the difference between shooting in the Championship, or shooting in the Prem? The opposition is irrelevant. If you are a great goal scorer then that's what you are. Yes, you might get more chances in another division, and may score less in the Prem as chances are less, but that doesn't stop you from being a fantastic talent. The point regarding Torres was that there is no guarantee that buying a 'big name' will give you goals any more than buying an unknown. Players have purple patches when everything goes well, and bad patches too, but you can risk 5m or 40m making your decision.
  10. Signing players 'anywhere' is a risk. Look at Torres for example.
  11. Chelsea paid 9m according to one of the sites. If we could get him for much less, then yes, but Mourinho isn't going to start outing players in his first season for the sake of it.
  12. If Martinez blows 15m on 'any' player, I'll take a proverbial baseball bat and beat some sense into him. We have a lot of positions that need filling, not just one or two.
  13. We signed Coleman from a lowly division in Ireland few had heard of. He is now one of the best attacking RB's in the Prem. Players don't get born in the Premier League. My point is that if you are a terrific player, it is irrelevant what league you play in. The guy with the talent is 'you'.
  14. Has Mucha left then, or is it awaiting negotiation?
  15. If Martinez wanted him he would have kept him, no? As for 14m for Mcarthy - excuse me ? :dont know:
  16. You said "Actually, he is a bit number 2..." I said "Stop talking crap". I didn't think for a minute you weren't joking.
  17. The Championship is a very strong league. How exactly are Premier League keepers bigger, with longer arms and better reflexes? In Japan, they have 4 arms.
  18. It's what I believe, regardless of if it's true or not. If I can bend a ball around the wall in Div 3, I can bend a ball around a wall anywhere. If I can chip a keeper, and so on.
  19. Kone - 30 - 6.5m versus Di Santo - 24 - free ? For me, it's a no brainer. We could sell him at a profit if it didn't work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hXR8xksZtg
  20. I believe if you are a great goal scorer, you are a great goal scorer 'anywhere'. Scoring a goal is about you, the ball, and the net. I'd take the guys in the Championship no problem.
