  1. Lots of us were concerned mate, but he is manager now, so it's important to now get behind him and support him. I don't agree Kenwright is hated by the fans either to be fair. I'd say most fans like the guy. It's the situation of not being able to compete that they tend to dislike.
  2. Very difficult one to answer. Franz Carr?
  3. Mcintosh was also a successful manager, especially as he took us out of Div 2 on top of his other titles. I'd put Moyes up there also despite not winning much.
  4. Also here http://loveeverton.proboards.com/thread/285/david-weir-manage-sheffield-united
  5. Of course, but only if he has the footballing skills, which for me are the priority.
  6. Is this who we have been looking for lol?
  7. Does anybody know much about this lad? http://www.givemesport.com/336773-fahad-al-enezi-fastest-footballer-in-the-world
  8. I've always been impressed with Rooney's running. As for Ronaldo, he is one of the quickest I've seen anywhere.
  9. Heck Mike :dont know: You must have watched the guys in my list.
  10. We are short on defensive qualities in midfield, and if Fellaini goes, we will be woefully short.
  11. Quickest United players in history http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1556887-manchester-united-the-15-fastest-players-in-red-devils-history All the ones I mention are in the list.
  12. Sorry, but I can't agree. Kaboul is Spurs quickest player over 100m according to their fan site.
  13. Can't see anything regarding the keeper. Regarding Gueye, he might just sneak in as home grown, though last years list said no:
  14. Gueye still has a good few years of contract left, so they'd have to buy him if he did leave. Macaleny has one year left.
  15. Here is last seasons list, complete with the U21's : http://www.premierleague.com/content/dam/premierleague/site-content/News/publications/squad-lists/Squad-Lists-September-2012.pdf
  16. I think you're right. It still gives us 21 players we'll need to name in the squad by my maths.
  17. He might be ok then. I've not copied it from anywhere, so just done my best to figure it all out. He'll still need to be added to the senior squad though as an over 21.
  18. That isn't what I said to be fair. I'm just pointing out that in order to be able to break quickly as a unit on the counter attack, we could do with pace throughout our attacking players. I'm not saying don't buy a guy with pace. I just wouldn't spend big, just on that attribute. If you take United for example, Rooney is lightening quick, so is Nani, Valencia, Raphael, Hernandez, and Evra. You can look at the Spurs players too in Lennon, Bale, Kaboul, Walker, Ekotto and so on. United and Spurs are possibly the quickest counter attacking sides I can think of, where they hit you in big numbers.
  19. It would please the Blue Union too I expect, as we would be adding an asset of value, not to mention long term rental savings.
  20. Last season, our squad consisted of 19 players, with 8 of those classed as Home Grown. These were our Under 21 players: Now, with Phil Neville leaving, and Thomas Hitz too, our squad of last year has 2 less HG players in it, and with Mucha also leaving, our squad now has but 16 left, of the 19 that were registered last season. Shane Duffy is 21 now, so must be included in next seasons 'Max 25' list, so as it stands, our squad would be up to 17. He isn't classed as Home Grown. Apostolos Vellios is now 21, so must be included in the 25. He isn't classed as Home Grown. Conor McAleny will be 21 before the end of the window, so must be added to the squad of 25 as a Home Grown player. Francisco Junior is now 21, so must be included in the 25. He isn't classed as Home Grown. If Magaye Gueye returns, he must be added as a none Home Grown player over the age of 21. Is he elegible as HG as he has been here 3 years, but was loaned abroad. This gives us a total of 21 in next seasons squad. Only 4 places for signings. Home Grown 1 Anichebe, Victor Chinedu 2 Baines, Leighton John 3 Gibson, Darron Thomas Daniel 4 Hibbert, Anthony James 5 Jagielka, Philip Nikodem 6 Osman, Leon 7 Conor McAleny Not Home Grown 1 Coleman, Seamus 2 Distin, Sylvain 3 Fellaini-Bakkioui, Marouane 4 Heitinga, John Gijsbert Alan 5 Howard, Timothy Matthew 6 Jelavic, Nikica 7 Naismith, Steven John 8 Pienaar, Steven 9 Mirallas Y Castillo, Kevin Antonio Jo 10 Oviedo Jimenez, Bryan Josue 11 Shane Duffy 12 Apostolos Vellios 13 Francisco Junior *14 Magaye Gueye So, unless we get shut of somebody, we are only able to sign 4 senior players in this window, of which at least 1 must be home grown. ps ... has Garbutt's contract ended ?
  21. Why don't we just sell Fellaini and buy it?
  22. I obviously know little about football, so you guys feel free to sign Usain Bolt and I'll pop the kettle on.
