I don't see that he has. I think when we used the American lad on the wing, and still had Pienaar, we were very close to where we needed to be, and just lacked a bit of luck in front of goal. We were trying to pass the ball in to the net, because nobody would shoot.

When we gelled, our football was outstanding. I appreciate we've lost some key players, but against Blackburn we were compared to Barcelona by Merson, so we can't have been that bad.

If you were to scan my old posts I've said that a few times about him going missing. Ossie has been getting better with more responsibility. It would be interesting to see if Ozzie could sit in the middle and orchestrate. If you look in the thread called 'remember this' that I put up an hour or so ago, there is a cracking goal from Ozzie in that. We were quite a team that year.

Phil Jagielka Can play 'anywhere' across the back 4, 'and' as a keeper. Is it then not worth looking at playing him at Right Back? This would then allow us to slot Heitinga or Yobo into the Full Back position, killing 2 birds with one stone. Even crazier, could he play in goal, in a similar vein to having a defender with gloves, thus giving us the equivalent of 12 outfield players. This is based on the fact that we probably only need a designated keeper for a very small percentage of the game. Would not a defender who can use his hands be just as useful? We can laugh, but Moyes does this kind of thing constantly. What 'out of the box' suggestions do you have? (obviously I mean for the team, and not for me, a can of Raviolli, and a toilet brush)
