  1. I'm no angel sweet lips, but I've learned from my mistakes and paid for my crimes, and I'm a much better person for it.
  2. Where has this 31% figure come from? There is a fair proportion of shares held outside of the board by share holders isn't there?
  3. OK, if I can have my thread back please? I've now ordered all the parts. It's been a very expensive exercise, and probably not far off 2k by the time I add up. Should get delivery of bits and bobs throughout the week.
  4. The circumstances are a little different with Hayward to be fair. He got wolves for a few million, and spent lots of his own cash, where as Kenwright didn't have the same financial muscle to do an equivalent investment. Also, Wolves were a long time outside of the top flight. If I was rich, I'd be reluctant to buy into football, that's for sure.
  5. Is he the guy that killed the dragon? Oops, wrong legend.
  6. What if the guy bought the house to get his nagging wife off his back? Football fans are like money grabbing women. They are only interested if you flash the cash. The only reason Kenwright and co can't afford the club is because of fans. Fans demand success, so clubs spend trying to achieve it, and in turn, the price goes up. It's a circle that will ruin football.
  7. Haf, when I re-joined here, it was the Haf v Pax show. We have the Romey v Milky show, the Halewoodblue v ........... see my point? Life would be so much nicer on here if only folks learnt to express themselves without insults, but I fear it's asking a lot of a football forum. It's almost like asking apes and chimps not to swing in the trees. Why can't you all be good ......... like me?
  8. What return on your investment do you expect if the club gets sold Haf? I salute your romanticism, but it wouldn't go far in a court of law unfortunately. MTK .... Yes, that's pretty much it.
  9. Are you a share holder Haf? The club belongs to those who own it,not those who support it. You can't forget this, and in place install some romantic notion that the club belongs to the fans. It simply doesn't.
  10. Jeez, thank God we didn't get beat 6-0. You lot are the worst bickerers I've ever met.
  11. Would you dump your wife for a better looking woman just because your friends went out with models? Kenwright is special to the club. He should be embraced, not persecuted. It's not his fault he can't compete, but there are more like him, than there are like the City owners. As long as we stay in the Premiership, I'll be happy. I don't need silverware to love my club.
  12. It's truly scary, I joke ye not. There is a constant claustrophobic atmosphere of high tension, and the characters within are truly evil. If you are immersed in the game, you will have to log off occasionally just to settle your nerves, and that's not an exaggeration. Think scariest horror movie and put it in a game.
  13. There are different reasons for fan unrest, but I think it's important to realise that there is only a minority of unrest, as opposed to being a majority. There are different types of fans too. We have age aspects, location, match goers v none attenders, social variations from professional people to jobless fans, and all the attitudes in between, from good sensible folk to complete Neanderthals. Summing up the typical football fan isn't easy to do. For those who think the board are doing a bad job, and don't have the business acumen to succeed, I'm all ears, if they can come up with a better business plan, and present it to the shareholders and board alike, but let's not forget that the guys on the board know a little about business, Kenwright especially owning the largest theatrical company there is. I'm fairly sure Kenwright doesn't want to leave. Why would he? He's the biggest Evertonian I know. It's more that fans have gotten to him, and his heart has been broken. For those who just want trophies at any cost, so they can walk down the street thinking they've achieved something, might they politely piss off to Manchester and support another club. Spend or be relegated is not the case. We haven't been in danger of relegation for quite some time, and in fact it's been quite the opposite. We've been one of the most successful clubs in the league since Kenwright took over, and employed Moyes to work with him. Spend and go bankrupt is a much more realistic proposition. Why can't fans come to terms with being an 'average' club, with average success? Is it so important to be the best, regardless of cost? Only one club can be the best, regardless of how much money gets spent. In our entire history, we've won the league a handful of times. Are we not still fans?
  14. Sometimes you have to see the man, and not the Chairman. It would take an enormous post in which to explain why I would prefer Kenwright at the helm, and I think I've taken steps over the past month towards doing the same, only in little segments, so no need to summarize just yet. I think a lot of opinions come from lots of backgrounds, and not all of them are football, or business related. Football is about passion, and not always about right or wrong. If we could choose between an Arab / Sheikh Billionaire (nothing against Arabs) , or a Kenwright Billionaire, how many would want the Arab? I don't get this 'get lost because you're skint' attitude many fans have. They don't have the club at heart, only their own ego's, that should be fullfilled by their own lives, and not have their hopes rest on the shoulders of a football club.
  15. Please speak for yourselves when stating opinion. We 'all' have different opinions, and certainly don't 'all' want Kenright out.
  16. He is a similar prospect to Jack Wiltshire. The worlds eyes were upon Wiltshire a year or so ago, but it's cooled a bit now. As SteveO said, we need to be patient on this. We have good young players, and the future is a lot brighter than some might think.
  17. Bioshock is a 'very' nice game. Fallout 3 is a must too. If you want to be frightened, then Doom 3 is a great game, but the scariest of them all has to be Cryostasis. If you want a shooter that combines all and is cheap, then Timeshift is great. A delightful game to play is Trine.
  18. Based on what though mate? As a seller, we want top dollar, but what would convince a buyer to pay it? It's too early.
  19. The market is very strange. Through blue eyes, the price is higher for obvious reasons, but if we look at the actual situation, especially after Arteta, who is one of the top midfielders in the league went for only 10m, it would be asking a lot to expect 30m at this stage.
