  1. I think Class A is along the lines of Cocaine etc. Either that or a Ginsters pasty.
  2. Not sure what to make of it. He has been unhappy for some time. I think he is the kind of guy that needs to be made to feel wanted and special. He doesn't seem to enjoy competition or rotation.
  3. No, not this time lol. I anticipate lots of goals and possession.
  4. Has anybody heard Tevez' side of the story?
  5. I'm still none the wiser about our new striker from Argentina. He must have something to be top scorer in that league. Vellios looks up for it, and Moyes may want to make amends for last weeks performance by going for it. Who knows.
  6. Fanchester, I don't want to sound biased but I think Baines is probably the best left back in the world right now from an attacking perspective. Defensively it is up for debate, but he's not bad. Even away from normal duties, he is one of the best dead ball players I've seen at Everton, and his penalties and free kicks are top drawer. I think Cole will lose his place in the England team soon. If there was one player fans would probably not want to lose it would be Baines. He is currently our heart beat, and one of the most exciting players in English football.
  7. I like the look of Vellios, but Moyes will probably go with experienced players. I hope he gets a go.
  8. Indefatigable - Now there's a word you don't hear too often. I wonder how long the writer had to wait before he could slip it in to something.
  9. I'm not sure. Is Finland really that far? Maybe I should have said Wales.
  10. I'm bowled over by the scale of these fish jokes. Are they from Finland?
  11. Pris, I'm not pulling your posts, but you make statements and portray them as if your opinion is that of every other Everton fan. It isn't. Your opinion is yours. Try speaking for yourself now and again, and stop saying 'we' or 'everybody' or 'all' and you won't get lads like me pulling you up, especially when we don't agree with you, and don't want to be typecast in order to back up 'your' opinion. Just because you read something on another forum doesn't mean that it represents a consensus, or general opinion of Everton fans. Half the time it's been written by some spotty teenage school kid with no hairs around their bollocks yet. Fans are fickle, and their views of things change constantly. If you don't want responses, why offer them on a public forum? Learning how not to take those responses personally is key, but thank you for calling me a cunt.
  12. With the best intentions matey it's more a question of either you get thicker skin, or don't, as opposed to whether we welcome other fans or not. If you're going to ask for a vote of confidence each time you get a little rejection on another clubs forum then you'll be in for quite a ride. You've been treated very respectfully by everybody during your time here Fanchester which is a stark contrast to how our fans are treated on City forums, as you will appreciate. Some Evertonians will embrace your views, and others will make you feel unwelcome. 'That' unfortunately is what life is like whilst visiting rival forums. You're not going to get a blanketed invitation full of promises and guarantees in case that's what you're looking for. You may or may not intend to wind people up, but to give you fair warning, most of the lads on here are as sharp as a knife, and don't miss a trick, even if they're also friendly enough to let most of it ride. I've read your posts on 606 and you seem a fair minded poster, but things are very difficult for Everton at the moment, and I think you're not being very tactful with some comments, in view of our circumstances. You can't really grumble if you're going to offer veiled insults, dressed up with 'don't take offence ...' or 'don't get mad ... but' .... whether you mean it or not. Is it any different to telling a girl that 'I don't want to hurt your feelings, but many lads think you're ugly', or 'don't take offence, but you're a bit fat'. For every 100 lads who don't take offence you're going to get some lads who do, especially when the guy pointing our inadequacies out just happens to be a City fan. That's human nature. It's the equivalent of having 2 lads with nothing to brag about stood up to their neck in dog shit, and for a genie to drag one to safety, clean him up, and dress him in scented riches, only for the guy to look down and tell the lad still stood in the shit that he smells a bit. As for this insensitive comment, you must be having a fucking laugh, and that's the first time I've sworn on this board 'ever' : You're talking about a set of fans worried about their clubs very survival, and you have the cheek to write that just because your billion pound dream team are 2 goals behind in the Champions league. Well woopy fuckety doo if you have more to concern yourself with. It's the Merseyside Derby this weekend, so forgive a few of us for not really giving a toss about how we played against City any more, and focusing our minds on our biggest match of the year so far, despite your lads thinking everybody only thinks about City. It's nothing personal. If you stick around, then great. If you don't, then don't. I'm fairly sure if it was the other way around your fans would not be so eloquent with their replies. In fact I can guarantee it from personal experience. In the words of a different City fan ........... Some might say roll with it, or whatever, d'you know what I mean? Stop crying your heart out, and go let it out, little by little, all around the world. I'm outta time. so see ya in the morning glory.
  13. Moyes will destroy Liverpool on Saturday and be everybody's hero again. Mancini's tactical nous didn't evolve much tonight, so enough said. I can't believe it's derby week and everyone is talking about Mancini. Screw him. We'll get him next time. Let's sort King Kenny out first.
  14. I think fitness will play a big part. He's been injured frequently of late, only managing a few dozen games in the past 2 seasons, so it will get harder as he ages, to maintain stamina, and to heal. I'm curious as to who the next Mr Liverpool will be. Another factor on how long he stays could be results. If Liverpool can rekindle some form, it could inspire him to keep playing, but would he want 4 more gloomy years, and go out on a low? I think he needs a big season in which to go out in style. Kind of like a full set of sixes across the judging panel.
  15. Is the end for Gerrard drawing close now with recent midfield acquisitions?
  16. I don't have a problem with him posting, as he seems a decent lad, other than one or 2 digs, be they intentional or not, (heck I gave enough to City fans), but it's the Derby on Saturday, and our focus should be on that now. Too many posts have a City theme when they should have a derby theme now. On with the red shite and hopefully 3 points.
  17. Did he give the milkman a blow job?
  18. You can change components of your engine over time, and not notice it, but replacing the whole car in one go is something completely different, and that is what I would hate and hope to avoid where our club are concerned.
  19. Yeah, I meant Sporting. Let's get back to Liverpool. What's the score with Steven Gerrard at the moment? Is he injured? Liverpool will not rush captain Steven Gerrard back from injury with the club insisting they will take a common sense approach. The 31-year-old injured his groin six months ago and underwent before suffering an infection in his rehabilitation during pre-season. The England international is unlikely to face Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday but could make his first appearance in the Carling Cup tie at Brighton on Wednesday. His presence has not been missed as much as it would have been in previous campaigns, mainly thanks to a significant summer recruitment drive. And manager Kenny Dalglish knows there is no point in bringing him back before he is fully ready with the risk of problems recurring further down the line. “Steven is progressing very well, Martin Kelly is back training and Fabio (Aurelio) is close to coming back to joining us also,” Dalglish said. “We will pick and choose when it is best suited for Steven, whichever games suits him best. “We will analyse his recovery and how the progress is; we will do the same for Martin Kelly as we will do for Steven. “We will just see what is right for Steven. There is no rush from us or from him because it has to be common sense. “Everyone who is asked to play will be fit enough to play.” Dalglish’s only real injury concern is defender Glen Johnson, who made his first appearance of the season as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat at Stoke on Saturday. But the 27-year-old suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem which he sustained in the Reds’ final friendly at home to Valencia over a month ago. Suggestions are the England defender could be out for another four weeks but Dalglish said they are waiting for medical reports to determine the extent of the injury. “We’ve only got Glen Johnson (injured) really. We are just waiting for some tests to come back and wait for the results,” he added.
  20. Can't we try and keep threads 'on topic' ? I appreciate that we all drift off topic now and then, but flippin eck. Every thread at the moment is turning into a discussion about City, or about Moyes' handling of that game. We have a City thread, and we have a Moyes thread. It's the flipping derby on Saturday. Why is the derby thread being used to argue about Moyes' tactics against City? Why is the Moyes thread being used to discuss City? The City game is over. Please ban everybody (including me) who talks about City between now and Saturday outside of the City thread and don't let them back on until Saturday afternoon.
  21. Moyes does not have a fair crack of the whip. He makes decisions based on what options he has available. If he ran Man City, and played negatively, we could have good ground to complain, but he has a team full of bargains, not superstars. We don't know for sure what his intentions are, as he doesn't tell us, so we can but presume. I was fuming like the next guy when we went out of Europe to Porto, after playing defensively against a team we should have destroyed, but he got us there in the first place using what ever tactics he uses. I often criticise him, but no way do I want him out as I still feel his overall job at Everton is very good. As long as he looks at his performances and tries to learn from them, he will improve. He is still a young manager, and I don't mind sharing the journey with him while he gets it right. He deserves a crack at us with a bit of funding, but he might never get that. He has been loyal, and ridden many a storm when he could have set sail for calmer shores.
  22. Some fans are never content and don't realise when they have a good thing. I despair when I hear fans complaining about Moyes. I really do.
