I'd have to challenge that Steve. Beckham had qualities unseen in your average footballer, and leadership skills second to none. His all round package was quite superb, and that for me made him the best acquisition for any club. You can look at players like Messi etc, and admire their silky skills, but they don't have what Beckham had in many departments. I don't think you can judge players just in one area. Ronaldo was superb, but had zero sportsmanship, zero leadership, zero defensive skills etc etc. Beckham was probably the greatest passer of the ball, and the greatest dead ball specialist the world has seen. For me, when the total package brought to the table is considered, Beckham was the best.

When he came here many fans doubted Moyes' judgement, as we did with Distin. I think it's testament to just how astute our manager is that we have these players on our books.

I'm not sure I worry about what others think about our players. We see them more than most and can make our own minds up. I think Pienaar is an exceptional player to be fair, and we miss him.

I think it's important he gets over the bad pass quickly, and doesn't get stick on the forums over it. He seems to come across well, but time will tell if things don;t go so well. That's when true character rises to the surface and men become men.

Hi matey. I think you need to realise that I'm your friend whilst posting here, and not your enemy. I've not gone out to upset you deliberately, so if I have then apologies. I don't hold the same opinion on many things, and age may be a factor for that, as will lots of other issues, but I find it best not to presume every fan thinks the same as me. I only pulled you because I felt you were telling the guy 'this' is what Evertonians think. It's best to just tell folk what 'you' think, as we all think differently on many things. Not sure what to make of it. He has been unhappy for some time. I think he is the kind of guy that needs to be made to feel wanted and special. He doesn't seem to enjoy competition or rotation.
