  1. The penalty was 100% a penalty in my eyes mate. Suarez may have seen it coming, but that's his job. Jagielka showed inexperience and clumsiness, and made enough contact to give the ref an easy call.
  2. Daft thread to be fair. I think a few of you are showing a little immaturity and need to wind it in a bit. Suarez isn't flavour of the month today, but I didn't see too much wrong with his attitude or sportsmanship in matches I've watched him in. I don't think the ref called the red card well, but I don't think Suarez cheated either, or for the penalty. Careless defending cost us more than anything, but we shouldn't have had to defend if the ref had been stronger. Unfortunately it's another example of referees having a say in the outcome of a game, and another example why we need technology. Quit this thread before we look bitter and silly again.
  3. Flippin eck mate, get a grip.
  4. Pissed off with not having a fair crack of the whip.
  5. Why ask on an Everton forum, on the day of a derby, what the biggest derby is? Most pointless first post I've ever read to be honest.
  6. I can only offer it to Tim Howard. Not that impressed with any other player enough to warrant giving them motm. Distin was decent again other than the 2nd goal, and disappointed with Jags and Baines, who don't seem to be giving enough for me lately. Jags is an absolute liability at the moment.
  7. Mindless knobheads throwing bottles.
  8. You wait all year for this match and a referee decision makes a mockery of it. That man should stay the hell away from Merseyside derbies. The last thing this fixture needs is a shaky ref, and he does nothing but send players off. We need to bring another striker on here, or push another man up, so we have something to do with the ball when we get it.
  9. Should Jags be dropped? How many more mistakes can Jags make while we have a Dutch International Centre Back sat on the bench scratching his head? It's nearly a costly mistake in every game at the moment. Not what is expected of a place winning player.
  10. Game looks ok, but the keybinds suck, with no middle mouse button or side button options. Had a quick 10 minutes. Held my own once I'd sorted out a few controls. Could be a good game once I figure out what's going on.

  12. The lad is still a multi millionaire and very young, so although I sympathise, I'm not sure I feel sorry for him. My career ended because of a spine injury and I'm flipping skint lol.
  13. There are times when you have to step backwards in order to move forwards. We'll still be in with our usual Europa challenge come the end of the season.
  14. You'll need to install Origin. I can't believe how much of my Internet the download is using though. Everything else is proper slow whilst downloading it. Might be best to run it over night.
  15. You can hardly include Manchester derbies when they've hardly played in the same league throughout their history. I'd have thought City's derby was with Stockport County.
  16. I'm thinking maybe he could play in a defensive roll, which might give his knee a rest.
  17. He needs to consider his position before he really hurts himself. Is there a less strenuous position?
  18. Go to EA games and look for 'free games' I think. http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/battlefield_bad_company/archive/2011/09/29/welcome-all-to-the-battlefield-3-open-beta.aspx##
  19. The normal scenario is that Everton have 99% possession and the ref gives Liverpool 7 penalties and sends off 10 of our players.
  20. Our players are a bit of a let down. The City ones are much better.
  21. It wasn't long ago that we were only a goal scorer and a winger away from being what I would consider top 4. We had enjoyed possibly the best Centre back pairing in the league at the time with Lescott and Jags, and his leaving saw us get off to an awful start, but come the November we were flying again, after the derby kick starting our season. In January 2010, Moyes attempted to fix the winger problem by signing Landon Donovan on loan, and our football maintained momentum, but still we needed a striker. Had we been able to keep that team together, including Lescott, and found a striker, I think we would have been one of the best sides in the league without a doubt, and we went on to out play all the top sides that year and make a late dash for the line. We have since lost Lescott, Donovan, Pienaar, Arteta, Yakubu which is some loss when all is considered.
  22. Chelsea are playing very well at the moment, but they aren't playing with any heart or belief. Something somewhere has been lost, and managerial changes every year is starting to prove costly I think.
  23. We still have plenty of players who will be up for this match. We need toimprove from recent performances though. This time last year, we were playing fabulous football, but unable to score. Now we're playing average football, which is a step backwards. Moyes will get it right, but to do so, he has to think outside the box and be brave. We have the players to compete, but picking them is the secret.
  24. We have quality in every position on the field under Moyes, but the players aren't necessarily designed for the positions they play. Moyes tends to improvise, and be resourceful, and those are qualities that every manager needs. The main position that we are struggling for at present is having regular strikers. If we were to have strikers that scored regularly, we would be able to challenge for higher places. Until Arteta and Pienaar left, we had one of the best midfields we've had for some time. To lose both is the equivalent of losing Fabregas and Nasri, with the difference being that Arsenal acquired Arteta, where we haven't acquired anybody, at least anybody that we had to buy. It would have been good to have Drenthe while those two midfielders were present, as it would to have had Barkley. Defensive wise we are in need of new blood. Baines is great going forward, but across the back 4 we have Distin, who although playing out of his skin, is getting older, and Jagielka who is a prime target for other clubs. Heitinga is available too, but with Yobo leaving I feel we are short of quality as a squad, especially long term. Right back, Hibbert is a class defender, but Neville is getting old too. Mostly it's down to avoiding injuries with us. If we have a similar situation to that of 2 years ago, we would be in trouble, as other teams are strengthening. We're closer to being able to compete than we are to being relegated, but the squad needs money spending on it, or quality from other sources being found. Add Nani, Tevez, and Silva and we'll win the league.
  25. Again you have to inspect the full package. What is more important when describing the best? If you have points scores for various attributes, I feel Beckhams tally would be the highest. For example: Ability on the ball Vision Free kicks Corners Penalties Goals per game Assists per game Leadership qualities Ambassadorial qualities Commercial viability International responsibility And so on .............
