  1. We could only offer him minimum wage and free school meals for his kids (providing their names started with X) and they weren't ginger.
  2. Works for me too. Sent from my cheap knock off pay as you go house brick of a phone using Tapatalk
  3. I should point out I'm referring to email addresses.
  4. I'm fairly sure you can create your own domain name for free if you own your domain. Can anyone remember how to do it? If you send lots of emails, it could be good publicity for the site.
  5. Mourinho didn't kick a ball in anger did he ?
  6. Yeah, I've seen the tappatalk thing under peoples posts on various forums. I've never had a good phone to be honest. If anybody has an iphone they don't want there is a good home waiting for it.
  7. Is this the 'posted from my iphone' type thing?
  8. I'd like to see a similar thing here. National service made us a better country.
  9. Isn't it strange that the so called 'big names' haven't exactly proven themselves with smaller clubs, with no money? Everybody wants Jose for example, but did he take Norwich up from division 2 without a bean, or win the league with Bolton? It must be awful having the fastest car, winning the races, and being told you are the best driver.
  10. That was another good example of Moyes spotting talent early, but not having the funds to get it.
  11. If Moyes had millions to spend, I'm sure he'd do just as good as others. Just because Bily has been disappointing doesn't make for a bad management decision, especially when you consider the signings Moyes has made that have flourished. Each year, his targets go to other clubs, as he has no funds to compete in the market. I expect the 'poor old Everton' to get more media exposure soon, as we strive for a buyer, but there are plenty of teams who would take Moyes in a heart beat if we don't want him. Be careful what you wish for.
  12. Osman deserves a crack in my opinion. So does Hibbert. You have to be a certain gobshite to play for England regularly. Is Rodwell a big enough gobshite?
  13. Lol. I'd take this with a pinch of salt. Arsenal only have 3 strikers, in Van Persie, Gervinho, and Chamakh. Van Persie gets injured every season. Why will they let a striker go on loan?
  14. Normally 7th place is good enough to be in the Europa league. We were slightly unlucky last season. Bluesky raises fair comments. We need to stop thinking we have a divine right first of all. There are 20 teams in this league, and all of them want the same as us. We're still doing better than most of them.
  15. I was thinking as a number 2, but I agree he is expensive.
  16. Well, ok. I'm not David's personal defence, so I'll leave my thoughts amongst those of others and retire gracefully into the night.
  17. What 'would' make him a great manager Haf? Would Ferguson win the league with the team we have now? Moyes is still fairly young. Is he not allowed to serve his time and learn his trade?
  18. Haf, we rarely agree on Everton politics, but I think we get on pretty well and respect each others opinions all the same. As fans, we don't know half of what goes on behind the scenes, we really don't. We don't know what contracts are drawn up, or what training practises we have, or lots of other things. We just watch the game, and pass comment, no different to any other fan. I scratch my head as much as the next guy plenty of times, but the thought of sacking Moyes has 'never' crossed my mind while I've been in a stable state of mind i.e not after we've been beaten 6-0, etc. I'd like to see what Moyes could do if he had the players he wanted. We were playing awesome football only 2 seasons ago, and I mean truly awesome. It was like watching Barcelona on steroids. The problem was we couldn't score, but we didn't have the cash to buy a top class striker. Had we bought Tevez and Van Persie, or similar, we would have been some team, so we can't say Moyes doesn't know how to get the team playing. Bring things forward, we have lost key players, and not just any old key players, but our best players. It's kind of like United losing their best 6 players, and then trying to win the league. It ain't gonna happen. Moyes has to be resourceful, and find what works again with what he has. In any case, he can't make mediocre players world beaters. Without signing at least 6 players, we will not improve, as Moyes will not have options. We're already playing kids, such is the situation. Those kids might be great, but we still need to get more players. That's one of the reasons getting Mcfadden in wasn't the worst business in the world. Come the end of the seasaon, we will lose a lot of other players too. Our situation isn't great, but heck, I'd rather Moyes was dealing with it than some other manager. Are we going to get above the big teams with another manager? We both know the answer to that.
  19. Have you installed Adobe Flash J? http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
  20. Can't believe some of you want Moyes out. Exactly what do you think would change by doing this? Do you think another manager would get money to spend? Do you think he would pick a different team than Moyes? If any of you have ever played in a team, you'll know that the guys that get picked are the guys that are playing the best in training, and on the pitch. If you aren't doing it in training, why will you do it in a match? Some of our players might be below standard in training, and that is why they aren't getting played. We have the smallest selection of options in the whole league, so Moyes plays the team he feels best for the job. Sometimes he gets it right, and sometimes he gets it wrong, but there are only a handful of teams that are finishing above us each year, and those teams are rich. Look at any team above us, and then look at their squads? Their managers have Ferraris to call upon, while Moyes has Morris Minors and Hillman Imps. Time a few of you whiners looked at the bigger picture.
  21. I have mixed feelings about it to be honest. I see the argument many are referring to, but would his time not have been better served at his wife's side?
  22. http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/excepted
  23. I guess it could be accepted too, as opposed to being an exception to the rule, should you wish to accept it lol.
  24. Hi Mike, and good luck for the season. 1. Who do you think NUFC Should worry the most about on Saturday and why? It depends on who gets a game, and where, but I think Osman played in the center might cause you a few problems. 2. Who should we least worry about and why? I don't think there is a player on either side who doesn't deserve respect. 3. Which NUFC player do you think will cause you the most problems and why? Gutierrez is a proper handful, but we tend to fall foul of one moment of luck, or brilliance, and Ba is in good form. Either of those two I'd like at Everton. 4. Which player do you see causing you the least and why? Gosling. Once a blue always a blue .... ahem 5. Where do you see yourselves finishing this year? Top 10 6. And where can you see NUFC Finishing. Top 10 7. With David Moyes coming up to an impressive anniversary of being in charge of your team, what are your thoughts of him not winning a trophy in that time? Not overly concerned. He brought pride back to our club, took us to Wembley on more than one occasion, and gave us European football again, not to mention the top 4. Best manager we've had in my book. Even better than Kendall. 8. Following that question, do you have an opinion on Newcastle Manager Alan Pardew? He's an experienced manager, who has done well so far. Can't say I was too impressed with your recent handling of managers in the last few years though. I thought it was disgraceful, without wanting to be offensive. 9. And do you have an opinion on our owner Mike Ashley? No opinion, other than as stated about the managers. His club, his gig. 10. Finally, what are your predictions and scorers? It could actually be a goal fest for both sides, as I don't think either will play for a draw, so I'm going to really stick my neck out and say 2-2.
