  1. Too much is said about history, and ours is hardly anything to brag about when compared to some. The quicker fans take each year as it comes the quicker we can all enjoy the football without clouding it with a presumed right to success. The biggest fact about history is that those in the present generally aren't responsible for it, yet many will lay claim to the achievements of others, and talk about it like they created it themselves. It's time to stop looking at the past, and accept our situation to what it is. We are not mighty Everton. We are skint Everton, and we have no divine right to be in the Premiership, never mind win anything.
  2. Will winning a trophy make your life complete? If so, why not support United? If not, why worry so? Why put pressure on a club unlikely to win a trophy, and have expectancies that are unrealistic due to circumstances beyond control of Moyes, or the fans? How many other clubs don't win trophies every season either? Should they all sack their managers too? Moyes has had nothing from Everton since day 1, but has achieved plenty. How many times can he make things happen without required funding? You're asking Moyes to build you a perfect scenario, yet the guy has not been afforded the tools to do the job. What makes you take Moyes for granted now? Is it because he has made your situation comfortable enough that you don't have to worry about relegation any more? Have you considered the possibility that Moyes is currently preventing our inevitable relegation, and another manager may actually get us relegated, rather than achieve better? We started the day in the top 10 with 2 games in hand. We lost to Stoke. So what. Perhaps Moyes should have taken mediocre player X off, and put mediocre player Y on? If he had players to play, I'm fairly sure he wouldn't pick most of the shite he has at his disposal, but players cost money, yet Moyes hasn't been given any. I should remember to complain to my decorator that the glossed front door is shabby, but I'm sure he'll tell me to buy better paint next time.
  3. I thought about Fellaini, but it's time Heitinga got some credit. I thought he was great today.
  4. Arrogant refereeing. Gave nothing. Horrible prick. We really have nothing in attack. The window can't come soon enough.
  5. We have zero continuity in our attack. We pass it wide, and it dies. Why the hell aren't lads moving with the ball? Have we had a single shot on goal?
  6. Are we that skint we only have 1 ball? Can't believe how long it's taking to get the ball back into play. What are the ball boys doing?
  7. Time wasting being ignored by ref.
  8. Shawcross is being allowed to man handle everybody. Can see him getting a dig soon.
  9. We have some proper shit bags in our ground these days. Absolute wankers. A guy is in need of a stretcher and they can only think of the game. Utter knobhead boo boys.
  10. Cahill, Bily, Osman ineffective. Need a change.
  11. Would Distin's height be useful for us here?
  12. Not happy with this ref at all. Is the way forward to cross in their box given their height? Maybe keep it on the floor and shoot from the edge instead.
  13. Need the ref to get decisions right here, or we will be frustrated.
  14. Thought Bily has done ok. Whole team playing fine, but no end product.

  16. Borderlands GOTY is only £4.99 on Steam today. 5 hours left.
  17. He's Scottish, so traditionally he will be an Everton target, and traditionally will be so so. Dribbling skills are fine, but a Prem defender will eat you up if that's all you have, in a similar way to when Harrison Ford shoots the guy twirling the knife.
  18. Yakubu - Goal poacher, perfect for teams who create lots of chances, and only need someone to pop it in the net. Drifts on to the left wing a lot, but holds the ball up very well, and can bully any defender. Good skills, and clever play. Not a pacey striker, so don't expect dribbles, cross overs and darting runs, nor 40 yard net breakers. If his luck is in, he'll bag plenty. If it's not, it can be like waiting for a bus on a Sunday - in the rain. Saha - Good aerial ability, and silky ball at feet skills. Passes the ball on well rather than being a hold up striker. Not a box poacher, but more an edge of box predator, with an instinct to shoot. Good athlete, but very lethargic and doesn't waste energy. Needs to get back on side quicker and back in to the game. Reminds me of my cat - "Yeah, yeah, whatever dude, I'm a cat, now open the effing door and stop telling me what to do". When on form, superb, but when not, frustratingly ineffective. Beckford - Runs his ass off, and gets in to great positions, but apparently invisible to our midfield who often wasted his runs by offering little service. Seemingly signed with the sole intention of making a profit. Very un-Moyes like to do that, so would love to know what happened. Gave us needed pace, but how can you get confidence from being a sub?
  19. It's was just a bit of tongue and cheek, but the best way to treat transfer speculation is to see who walks out on the pitch every week. The press know fans are desperate, and know they'll get thousands of hits every week simply by mentioning us. I have to agree with Haf on that one. As for Sturridge, he is confident at the mo, but he misses far too many for him to be successful at Everton. Miss one for Chelsea, and 10 minutes later you get another opportunity, but at Everton you might get one per game, and need to be more clinical. He goes down a bit easy too. I have him in my FF team.
  20. Can we afford not to have Distin in the defence on current form? How has Jags been playing last few weeks while I was away?
  21. Can't we ban links to Everton targets? We'll never get the minutes back in our lives that it takes to read the utter bollox that is an Everton transfer.
  22. Bit strange pining for Yak after one good game lol. All strikers get lucky, and yesterday was Yaks turn to shine. Saha also scored 4 not so long ago against Blackpool, or do our fans have bad memories at weekends? During the season Yakubu scored over 20 goals, most were laid on a plate for him to be fair, and the majority inside the box with simple tap ins. Saha on form is a great striker, and every bit as good as Yak, but our problem is they don't work hard enough with movement, and don't get the service here to suit their lazy styles. I thought selling Beckford for £4m was a shame. He hadn't been given enough opportunities for me, and could possibly have gone on to better things. Andy Johnson was our best striker if you were to ask me to pick one. His work rate was terrific, and I'd have him back tomorrow.
