  1. I actually thought Cahill has been ok today, with some good defending, and some need touches and movement. Our problem is we don't score many, and we're behind. It's worth throwing caution to the wind now in order to get a goal. Don't wait until 70 minutes Dave. Do it now.
  2. The question has to be directed towards Jags. For me, Distin has proved his worth, and deserves his place.
  3. When will we get some luck.
  4. Awesome defending from Hibbert. Absolute class.
  5. Saha really is out of form. I'm at a loss as to why he is being played, unless it's to keep him match sharp for the window. Poor header there.
  6. Bailey, being a World Cup finalist is absolutely zero testament to a players ability. It is a team game, not an individual sport. Heitinga was sent off in that final. Hardly a sign he made the correct decisions during the World Cup. He was dropped because Distin was outstanding. I personally thought our defence should have been Heitinga and Distin, but I don't pick the team.
  7. I bought a few games again today, but one in particular I'm quite taken with so far. Alice, Madness returns. £7.49 down from £30. If you're a lover of artful imagination, you'll like this. It's like a crazy take on Alice in Wonderland. Love the Cheshire Cat. Might be worth a gamble before it goes back up to thirty quid?
  8. The searches were just banter, even if I am a total wacko in real life. It was a nervous reaction to reading your Internet gangster hard man act. I did think about stalking you and boiling your pet rabbit. However, for the sake of others I'm going to ignore your letters of love. I only wish I'd been the first to think of doing so, but I fear I'm probably one of many, as opposed to being an innovator on this occasion. Good luck with the dating though. It's not nice to be on your own at this time of year. I'm sure if you keep looking though, you'll eventually find your masochistic anal hound with a fetish for rubber and big talk. Happy Christmas.
  9. We often play a variation. Utilising Cahill as a second striker, or sitting behind the striker, for example is hardly 4-5-1, nor allowing Heitinga to drift between Defence and Defensive mid. Playing 4-4-2 is defensive. I was under the impression that our formation changed according to what situation we experienced at the time, but I'm not the best to discuss formations with anyone. I think giving players freedom to be resourceful is key. A few new players in the squad wouldn't go amiss. (All the best btw mate).
  10. What do you expect Moyes to say? "Put your feet up Louis"? We need to stop getting wound up by the media. They know even less than we do.
  11. There will be a reason Barkley hasn't played Pris. It's unlikely that 40,000 Everton fans at the game see his potential, and Lord knows how many fans elsewhere, but Moyes doesn't. He's only a kid when said and done, and he made a few mistakes which cost us. Those kind of things can weigh heavily, so maybe Moyes has one eye on his ability and one eye on Barkleys best interests. I think we'll see a bit more of him soon, but who does he drop?
  12. Lol Reg. Sounds like you had a belter. I spent Christmas day on my todd. Had egg, chips and beans for dinner.
  13. We can't put pressure on our kids. Their time will come soon enough. We need patience. Long term gain is better than short term risk. It can be very overwhelming stepping up when you are young. Also, we'll get a better price if the older players are in the team when we eventually sell them in January and bring in Messi, and his brother Evan Messier.
  14. STEAM CHRISTMAS SALE: ONLY 2 HOURS LEFT: BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM £2.49 COD MW3 £29.99 FOOTBALL MANAGER £20.00 FALLOUT 3 IS ONLY £3.74 KILLING FLOOR £3.74 I thought Fallout 3 was one of the best games in a long time. At this price, it's a must. Killing floor is a zombie shooter, with a bit of fear factor, and Batman at that price has to be worth a punt surely.
  15. Pris, the biting incident was light hearted. Did you not see them smiling afterwards, and then hugging after the match?
  16. I'd even include Barkley Pris. They can afford Messi, and anybody else they want. If Rodwell or Barkley went there it would be the end of their careers in my opinion. They'd buy them 'in case' they reached potential, and hope to get them cheap. If they don't reach potential, who cares? They have billionaire funding. Look at the guys in these top teams who are on the bench every week.
  17. Support your manager 100% until he's gone. Continue doing the same and you'll be playing in the Championship next year. Whether he is the right man or not, get behind him.
  18. BORDERLANDS IS ONLY £4.99 on Steam today. SKYRIM is only £23.44 Few other deals too depending on your interest.
  19. He's probably been told to stay away from the media. I don't have experience behind closed doors regarding the lives of high profile football players, but I expect he has lots of people advising him at the moment. As I said on page one, I can't for the life of me understand why he would join a new club, with a new league, new country, and complete fresh start, (other than the WC problem) and then immediately set about to destroy that opportunity. It doesn't sit well with me. I think it is retribution for his hand ball. A big 'revenge' conspiracy taking place if you like. It will be a new book soon. You can feel it.
  20. Would 'you' want to be punished for something you didn't mean? I wouldn't. If he meant it in a racial way, then he deserves the consequences. If he didn't, then to be in the public eye over it all (much worse than any ban) is an awful thing. I hope it blows over quickly, and it serves as a warning to anybody else, but I wouldn't want Suarez to be made an example of. While there is doubt, there has to be caution. The term 'I didn't mean it' is an interesting subject. I was recently asked to consider just that myself recently with a guy who had made comments on this very forum that had caused upset. Can I offer an open mind to him, and offer forgiveness, and not offer the same to Suarez? For me, the two scenarios are similar. Only the guy who is accused knows the real truth. What we have to do is consider that truth. Everybody deserves a little leniency in life, or we would always be at each others throats. If Suarez doesn't learn from it all, and does it again, then that is different, but if it's a first offence, perhaps educating the guy is better than condemning him. Heaven knows, I ain't perfect, and I need all the allowances in the world. Maybe Suarez should receive a little.
  21. They're a tasty side on paper, but many of their players were old Everton targets, and some of them haven't proved their worth, so maybe it was good we didn't sign them. When you consider how much we've struggled this year, we're still 3 points better than them with a game in hand, so it's fair to say Sunderland have failed to get going. We're on the rise at the moment, so I expect it to be a win, and I'll be disappointed if we don't get it.
  22. We struggle even to order a pint of lager when we are abroad on holiday. Is Suarez to be expected to become an expert in English culture in the short space of time he's been here? This is a 24 year old kid when all said and done. I'm not saying what he did was right, but that it wasn't quite the same as a racist onslaught from a swasticka tattooed skinhead demanding he leave the country or get fed to a pit bull. There has to be clarification towards intent, as well as acknowledgement of wrong doing.
