  1. Anybody well up on the best washing machines ? I'm looking for preferably a 'quiet' one, with no brushes (fed up changing brushes) and white. I appreciate companies such as Miele etc might be good, but I don't want to spend that much money. At the same time there is normally a very good reason why a washing machine costs only £150, and that reason is normally because it is crap. Will be buying a dryer too, but want to keep them separate rather than integrate. A siemens etc for less than £300 would be cool.

I've got my eye on you.

  4. The last sale day on Steam was just repeats. A few hours left then that's it.
  5. I have City players in defence and midfield, yet still laughed, even though it cost me about 6 points. We pulled 3 points back today. The title is ours.
  6. Yes. It's a shame, but it's true. Even if Spurs win it, it's a money win.
  7. There was a time when I'd have been fine with the Blue Mancs winning something, to give them a bit of pride back, but the new generation of City fans are narcissistic little gits, and need bringing down a peg or two.

  9. Why does Straq have several nominations but only 1 vote on the board?

He looks to have a bit about him. Would be interesting if he were in a team like City or Chelsea, where he would get chances. I'd like to see a bit more of him.

I just think this is why the young lads don't start. Players have to give 'everything' every time to break through and be noticed. I don't think 'decent' or similar is enough to turn Moyes head. He's giving them a taster, but he won't feel they are ready unless they prove themselves. Next week, we'll see a different team, but I don't think Donovan will start. It's not Moyes' style. I'd like to see Saha sold if I'm honest. I have nothing against him, but he isn't effective enough. Today, he fumbled his opportunity. He just doesn't have it now, and we need to face it and thank him for his services.

Did he 'lift' the team Matt? Was the team noticeably better because of him? Apart from the shot that was saved (cancelled out by the one that went 20ft wide lol) I don't think he did anything to make Moyes start him. Compare his impact to that of Drenthe a few weeks ago. That's the impact these young lads need to make if they are to turn Moyes' head.
  13. Agreed. Distin has proved himself, and deserves the contract.
  14. We'll gladly give you the £3 million back for him.

Nev and Saha are truly surplus regarding first eleven in my opinion, even if Nev brings experience and leadership. Cahill should lose his place too, even if he does work hard in other areas, but other players just aren't claiming the right, or standing up and being counted. That's why Moyes continues. Gueye came on today, but was poor. This was his opportunity to say "Pick me more often - look what I bring to the team" but I didn't think he did that. If anything, the only player that did that for me was Straq. He gave Moyes something to think about. Victor scored, but I wouldn't say he did enough to warrant a start yet.
  16. Why would you drop our best Centre back Mike? When in form, Distin is the boss, and he's been in good form for a good period, even if his comeback game was a bit rusty. Jags has been the weak link for long periods and escaped. Having competition for places is healthy, but players need to lose out if they don't work hard enough. That for me has been Moyes' weakness. I agree that a Distin / Heitinga partnership might be fruitful, but we need to get the guy signed first, or he might be gone.
  17. Mate, nobody is 'trying' to make you bite, but you need to consider you come here and talk like you've been the big club for years and we are the cheeky pretenders who 'gave you a game'. Our bogey teams are Man UTD, and Chelsea, and Arsenal. They always seem to play well against us. Hmmmm .... I wonder if it's because they are in a different league to us? That was the case with Everton and City. We weren't your bogey team. We were just much better than you. Congrats on turning a 2012 Everton thread into a City thread though.
