  1. I was joking C. The very fact we had no managers for years was a talking point long ago. If you asked me who all the managers were over the years, I wouldn't be able to name more than 10, if that, but I'd always remember the 20 or so (edited out. It was actually 35-39 after checking) years we didn't have one. It's something that stands out in our history.
  2. He has the chance to fight for his place, but why risk it today? Sentiment aside, is it not wise to play the guys who are used to playing together in a knockout situation? See how it goes, and maybe give him 20 minutes at the end?
  3. Yeah, after supporting our club for 40+ years I'd never checked the history of our managers before.
  4. Moyes really did have us playing fantastically well at one point. We were playing so well, we all thought the following season we would challenge, but we didn't sign anybody, and the momentum was lost. Injuries didn't help either, but had we had the money to add to that squad, we could have been like Spurs are now. That's how close Moyes came. Anybody who says he doesn't know how to get a team playing football is a bit naive.
  5. Name the 8 please Haf. You can't count the committee.
  6. All whilst playing in goal? That would be quite an achievement.
  7. City were one, as they beat us in the semis. Leicester were pretty decent in the 60's so I'm going to guess that Spurs were another, as Spurs were the cup kings at the time. No idea about the others. United and Arsenal?
  8. He's off to the African Nations at present. That's always been a big negative for me with African players. I like him though.
  9. Bad enough Everton fans moaning at Moyes without City fans doing it. He's entitled to his opinion, but a little tact wouldn't hurt.
  10. I bought lots of games during the sales including Skyrim. I played the opening scenes, but haven't yet continued. Mighty give it another blast. Lost interest for gaming lately lol.
  11. Mate, get a grip. To say Moyes has nothing to show for it, so should go is ridiculous. How many teams are there in the football league that don't win anything? Should all their managers be sacked? Maybe the Sky clubs should just toss a coin on who will win the league, because the chances of 'any' other team winning it are a big fat zero ! Look at how many managers in our entire history, have won something. Other than the year when we didn't have a manager, only 7 managers in our entire history have ever won silverware. Moyes has had very little backing from the board in comparison to the teams he has to face every week, yet he has found players from lower leagues, or unknowns, or academy talents, and kept us playing at the top end of the Premiership for most of his tenure. He was 1-0 up in a Wembley FA final also, and in Wembley again in the League cup semis. He's broken the top 4, and brought European football back to our club, which has to be something special for all fans to enjoy once again. Had the club been able to back him, he would possibly have taken us to the top, but we will never know, because they haven't been able to. His peers respect him so much that he had earned a record number of LMA awards, and if he left Everton, there would be a scuffle amongst Premiership and Worldwide Chairmen to secure his services. Some of you don't know how lucky you are to have David Moyes as manager, and many fans can't see further than their noses regarding the obstacles in Moyes' way regarding competing. If you think 'any' other manager is going to win silverware on the budget we have you must be very optimistic, because even Alex Ferguson would struggle to achieve what Moyes has achieved at our club. The very fact that you have expectancy at all, is down to David Moyes. The guy is deserving of a knighthood, never mind being slagged off as you put it, by an Internet fan who doesn't even get to watch most matches, and constantly quotes his dates and memories from a history book. Knock it on the head please. It's out of order, regardless of how many other posters show the same level of frustration. Our fans need to be very careful what they wish for, because if Moyes leaves, we are very vulnerable indeed.
  12. There is a scene in kill list where the killer takes a hammer to a guy tied in a chair, and sets about destroying his knees first, then his arms and hands, before putting him cheek down on the table and setting about his head with little left to the imagination. Thats 'after' they tortured him until blood was pouring from his ears. It doesn't get much more violent than that, regardless of who you are. I almost had to question if it was real. It's very disturbing, and I suggest folk view with caution.
  13. West Ham are a Championship team, we are a Premiership team with one of the biggest top flight histories in the game. If he joins us, he has a real opportunity of being our number 1 striker, and playing against teams such as Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and City week in week out. I'd say that was a sensible move. It doesn't get much clearer than that.
  14. Don't get into that thinking lark. We love you just the way you are.

17 don't go in to 11. Can we have the ones you don't need? Good luck Tamworth. Hope you all have a great day, and a fabulous experience. You'll love Goodison.
  16. Awwww .... Saying that, it's the risk you take. To do it on camera is kind of taking things for granted that she will say yes. Hope the guy is ok.
  17. Don't want to sound awkward, but fans are responsible for themselves. Some fans are disgusting, and this is every team, not just Liverpool fans. We can hardly point fingers at them for the behaviour of fans, presuming they actually were fans, and not idiots with a clear agenda. I'm fairly sure when our own fans were accused of spitting at the City players, that we'd have been up in arms had folk branded 'all' Everton fans with the crime, or the club. Arrest the guy who said it. He is responsible for his own actions.
  18. I watched an interview with Elstone and he said Moyes would get backed in the window.
