  1. If they want to go to Spain, let them. Eventually the standard would get back to normal, and clubs could once again afford to run their businesses. I'm not sure the standard is 'that' fantastic anyway. Sunday football is entertaining to many. If all teams told the players to take a wage cut, then the players would have no choice. The way to get all teams to do this is for FIFA to enforce it. It won't happen, but it should, and if it doesn't, there will be no football leagues as we know them in years to come.
  2. Elstone says Moyes 'will' be backed in January. December 9th 2011 on the official site. 10:30 into the video http://m.evertonfc.com/evertontv/news/6676 Question: "Obviously in the shorter term Robert with the January transfer window just around the corner, the Chairman has recently gone on record as saying there will be support for the manager in January, I guess, I don't know if you can give us any clarification on that? Answer: I would endorse and back up what the Chairman said. Yes, there will be support, and 'er er er' everything we 'can' do, will be diverted or given to supporting the manager in terms of strengthening his playing squad".
  3. Hmmm ... I think we can, and we will Mike. Tell them they're only getting paid 500 quid per week (Many of us would cut our arm off for that) and see what they say. To think the players aren't responsible for being paid huge sums is a little naive, without wanting to be arsey with you. It's the single biggest turn off I have with the sport. Skint fans paying big money to wealthy clubs, who pay ridiculous sums of money to wankers who can't even kick a ball straight.
  4. What don't people get about us being in a recession? Footballers earn more in one week, than many earn in 10 years, and fans are supposed to 'chip in' to help out clubs that gladly pay them this money? No! No! and No! When you buy a ticket, you don't contribute directly at all. You are paying for a performance. Nothing more. The performance is a product, and unfortunately does not come with any guarantee of quality. I find fans putting their hands in their pockets further to help finance the life styles of footballers and agents distasteful and concerning. If the club have no money, come down to earth. There are many divisions below the Premiership, and even when you get to the bottom, you'll still have more than the average fan
  5. Is that what they mean by 'losing track of time'?
  6. Let's face it. Someone needs a ticking off.
  7. Oops, wrong ones lol. http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/manchester-city-2-manchester-united-3-extended/

  9. Rooney went straight to the ref, and the ref did as he was told. Without Kompany, UTD have a better chance of winning the league. It wasn't long ago Rooney had a ban lifted. It wasn't the best tackle, but I think Rooney swayed the ref.
  10. He was well thought of as an academic, but City's riches probably stopped him in his tracks regarding playing for them. I'd actually take him today without a second thought, but I don't pick them unfortunately. He was one of the best prospects in the game.
  11. As long as these things exist, the game will be farcical. Why are supporters coughing up to safeguard clubs, when the very players they go to watch are bleeding their clubs dry? If the greedy bastards took a reasonable wage, clubs wouldn't be struggling in the first place. No way should supporters be paying towards running costs directly. It's the players etc that should be supplementing things.
  12. Yes, it looks fine. It's good that role models can show people that they are affected by things too, and it's 'ok' to change things in order to be happy.
  13. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/9005231/Vincent-Kompanys-appeal-against-four-match-ban-for-serious-foul-play-rejected-by-FA.html Kompany to serve 4 game suspension after appeal rejected by FA. Surprised by that. Smells a little of United influence.
  14. I remember about him having something done. I wasn't aware that his hair would grow though, unless it just looks like it has. Maybe he only had a small area of baldness.
  15. Anybody who bungee jumps needs their heads testing.
  16. Strap in baby, and be prepared to be wound up.
  17. I'm surprised the Scousers on the forum didn't chime in with "How much do you want to pay?"
  18. Hibbert is our best defender for tackling. In that role, he would come forward less, which would suit him, and make him ideal. Heitinga can float forwards when in possession, and Distin is a natural Left back. The 4 of Coleman, and Baines out wide gives both added defence, and attack, without being the 'final' defence, as neither are our best defenders, while the middle pairing of Rodwell and Fellaini is physical, and determined. Playing 3 up front gives extra width, and hold up options, combined with flair, and both Donovan and Drenthe can shoot on their best foot. Are you listening Dave?
  19. On the other hand, it's time we watched Bill too.
  20. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2084358/Lionel-Messi-wins-2012-Ballon-dOr.html Same guys winning everything. Wankers. It's time other players were recognised. See how well they'd do playing for Wigan etc. Rooney has hair? Since when? Transplant?
