  1. Play nice guys .... can't be doing with arguments any more.
  2. I didn't say Baines 'was' dirty - just that he received 7 cards. 3 more than Adam, who also has a job to do. I'd still consider Adam though. He was in my fantasy team in his first season, and scored me plenty lol, so maybe that's why I'm a little more tolerant of this rumour.
  3. Let's keep fingers crossed. To be honest, I'm not overly bothered if he comes or not, as I think we have a bit of talent if we stay injury free, but I'd like to get hold of that Ioannis Fetfatzidis guy, as he looks like a player. Getting both would be cool. If Mirallas thinks he will walk into our first eleven though and play every week he needs to be aware that there are one or two decent players in our team that might put up quite a fight.
  4. Nor mine lol. I voted for a red in his first 5 games ha ha.

  6. Bad boy Barton off to Marseilles ? Watch out you little French fancies ............
  7. In the league last season he received 4 yellow cards and one red (a result of 2 yellows) and even Redknapp felt the sending off was harsh against Spurs, so not sure why some folk feel he is a dirty player. Compare Fellaini's record a few seasons ago whilst adjusting to the Premiership, and even last year Baines was carded 7 times. We all hate dirty players, as long as they're playing against us, but cast our minds back to some of the bruisers we've had at Everton, and they were all heroes lol. Our own Duncan Ferguson had more red cards than any other Premiership player with 8 reds. Heck, even Southall was sent off twice. Weir, Unsworth ? Not to mention some of the harder midfielders such as Graveson and Carsley, who neither feared getting stuck in? All part and parcel of being a midfielder......................................... and err ....................................... Scottish
  8. Why would Fellaini go ? Isn't he the appeal for Mirallas coming? Surely they will have corresponded with each other as to their immediate futures? I really can't see Mirallas signing, and Fellaini leaving. If Mirallas doesn't sign, then yes, worry about Fellaini. We don't have to buy to replace. Football, especially top flight football and our aspirations towards achieving it is about having a squad, and not just about having a first eleven. I also think that the deal with Rodwell was well organised, hence the low profile, and that Moyes will already have players ready to come in, as opposed to selling, and then researching the market. I'll be surprised if we don't see at least 2 or 3 more faces added before the window closes.
  9. Mirallas was born in Leige, so how is it that he can be Spanish? Also Fellaini's parents were Moroccan, but wasn't he born in Etterbeek Brussels? I'm thinking Sprouts all round here.
  10. See below - could be pure guess work, who knows ....
  11. There are rumours he's signed a 4 year deal with us.
  12. Gily, you're entitled to your opinion mate, and I'd not rush to contest it given what little I've seen of the guy. What I will say though is that David Moyes has shown to be a good judge over the years, and it must be pointed out that most players who come to Everton, have improved immensely under his leadership, so I tend to trust him. Moyes may have a totally different role in store for him should he sign, than perhaps he is used to, as we tend to use resourcefulness rather than money. Excellent English incidentally.
  13. Cheeky ....... http://www.greeksoccer.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=235058049&st=520 Would like to see how they got on playing in the prem week in week out for the past 100 years against the quality over here, as opposed to the Greek league.
  14. A few Greeks seem to think he has officially left https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=62913505&l=10b82491c6&id=142532179171070 Telling him to change his avatars kit lol.
  15. It strikes me that the guy plays well in a comfortable environment. He was the big fish at Blackpool, and so played very well in his first Prem season with them, but the move up from Blackpool to Liverpool is enormous, as with it come expectations to perform well, without any of the back patting as a reward. A bit of a hiding to nothing at Anfield. Here though, he could well shine, who knows, but he'd need to be cheap in order for Moyes to take the risk. We already have great free kick takers. What we don't have is a creative midfielder who can take control and be the main cog. Adam could offer that, but then so could quite a few others too. If we look at the bigger picture, our squad would be better with him than without him, so it all depends on who Moyes wants to bring in.
  16. That's been cut to sound like he favours us, but at the beginning he states it is possible he might go to either club, and at the end he says he returns to Greece tomorrow (today) so don't get too excited just yet.
  17. Christophe Henrotay and his father Roger own Sports Innovations SA. The dad (ex player) was indicted of dodgy dealings recently lol. Perfect for our accountants lol.
  18. Rodwell could be coming back here on loan perhaps?
  19. Might be a bad time to post again given the heat of debate ha ha, but I would have taken Pienaar in and Rodwell out for decent money. It might give Moyes less need to part with Baines, and I'm confident Moyes will improve the squad as he always has. City won't have gotten Rodwell on the cheap. I don't believe Moyes would allow that, so he will be sold for what he is worth. It would be realistic to think we might get a player on top, given their huge squad, so my guess is Adam Johnson will be in an Everton shirt come kick off, as City will want a strong Everton team for the United match. Personally, I think Rodders has potential, and will be in wonderful company to learn his trade, but not sure it isn't a ploy to stop United getting him, with a view for wrapping him in cotton wool for a few seasons. Good business from Moyes and Kenwright.
