  1. I've always kept an open mind about Barton, but it closes as each season passes. He has a furious temper that he can't control, and is constantly a walking time bomb. I think it would do him good if the FA handed him a last chance suspended permanent ban, and the law offered him a suspended prison sentence. If he came to Everton, he would destroy any spirit we have, and spirit is the soul of our club. I don't hate the guy, but more sympathise with his inability to control his emotions as it has clearly had a detrimental effect on his career. Kind of like the way the mother bird sympathises with the snake as it falls from the top of the tree. She just knows the hissy bitch will strike again as it's what snakes do.

  4. So basically the shite we spill out on here put him off then ?
  5. If Vic is to progress he needs time on the pitch. I see no point in being sat on our benches.
  6. I've found in recent years that many so called 'hot shots' who decided against coming to Everton have done little with their careers since,. Caen would be desperate to tie this lad down to contract if they felt he was the next big thing. The prices quoted are very low. The goal on Youtube for me should have been saved, and shows nothing of the kid to be fair. Time will tell.
  7. Yeah, he is. My how quickly the years fly by. Still young though.
  8. Crikes. Vic is only a kid of 22 and has bags of experience. If I were Moyes, I'd loan him out to a decent outfit on the condition he got games a plenty, and the chances are he would blossom.
  9. Damn, thought we'd signed him for a minute when I saw the thread updated. Thank feck for that lol.
  10. Put Nani in our team and we would win the league. Moyes would make him feel special again. If the rumours of 15m were true he'd be sold long ago. I think ad another 30m and we're probably closer.
  11. Are you aware we were taken over a week or so ago, and just not told anybody?
  12. There is nothing to suggest the guy can make it into our first eleven. Everything is about hype that I can see. I see the guy as a similar scenario to Barkley. Get his signature, develop him, and be patient.
  13. I'm not overly concerned if he returns. I've always tried to be clear headed about the guy when others became romantically attached, but our squad is a better squad with him in it than not. I think the problem is the timing and age of the guy regarding a transfer. He is undoubtably a good footballer, but he can't keep doing the 'no rest' thing at that age, and I think he's been very honest throughout. Had we signed him the first time, I feel we would have gotten 3 good years from him at least, but there is no resale value now if we bought him, so although I would take him on a free without question, it wouldn't make sense to throw money at a deal unless it was very cheap.
  14. Lol, a few of you sound like the lad who got turned down by the pretty girl, and responded by saying she was ugly anyway.
  15. When on form, I rate Nani as one of the best I've seen in the Prem.
  16. Far too much read into his apparant singing. It's a catchy tune.
  17. Am I the only one who is tired and weary of this window ? I don't like it over running the start of the season. I'd much rather it closed so we all knew where we are in terms of a team. I'd be surprised if this guy wasn't just another potential signing like Gueye that will need a few years to break through, so not getting too excited.
  18. If he was the complete article he'd surely be playing for Mourinho wouldn't he? Jose mustn't think he is ready yet if he is loaning him out.
  19. Rumours growing. 21. Rodwell has shown me very little to suggest he is anything but a standard midfielder that was physical enough to set out early. I don't get the huge valuations that were once touted around. I can only put it down to Everton fans being desperate to have another Rooney figure, and hype being created, that City appear to have bitten on the basis. It struck me as strange that he wasn't a starter here as such, yet started for City. I just hope the fans back off from Barkley and give him the time he needs to develop.
