  1. When you next discuss your meal, will you tell us you had egg, chips and peas, or will you tell us in 3 seperate posts?
  2. Surely you would get a wage like every other player. The thought of you having to walk around the pitch picking up the coins is outrageous.
  3. I'd say he would be well within his rights to walk off, if European employment law is anything like ours (and it probably is). Employment law. Race Relations Act 1976 and Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 Human Rights Act 1998 Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 Protection from Harassment Act 1997 Malicious Communications Act 1998
  4. One place behind the billionaire European champions, whilst having to compete in the toughest league, with little money.
  5. That's not going to sit well with most racially abused people, but heck, hand out ear plugs to players on match day (Yellow for blacks / white for everybody else so we appease the paying racist scumbag fans) and problem solved?
  6. Be like a postage stamp. Stick to one thing until you get there.
  7. It's only words. And words are all I have, to take your heart away.
  8. Technically gifted players tend not to be defenders, or at least the old style defenders. The last thing you want your defenders to be doing is trying to be too clever. Both Hibbert and Neville are from the old school, and to be fair, both were amongst the best at what they did.
  9. It's down to Heitinga to re-gain form, regardless of playing time. He is a squad member, and not a special case. Re-gain form, or sit on the bench; it's an easy enough scenario. The main thing is to take your chance when you get it. We can't be mollycoddling these guys. They're paid an enormous amount to be at the top of their game. You dust off the cobwebs in training, or the reserves, but a matchday is for those who are ready, and not for those who aren't.
  10. Hi matey. Welcome to the forum. You'll have to put up with us constantly having a dig at the Scottish, but we don't mind you giving it back either lol.
  11. I stopped listening to Howard Kendall some time during the 80's. For me, he was a successful manager first time round and decent player, but I'm not of the 'eternally grateful club' and though it might be controversial, it annoys me a bit that ex-Evertonians are still drinking on the clubs tab, so to speak. Why they can't leave on a high, and stay as a fond memory instead of becoming annoying is beyond me.
  12. We could do with better reviews if we're selling him.
  13. Not for sale? http://www.teamtalk.com/championship/8378966/Burnley-boss-Sean-Dyche-insists-Charlie-Austin-will-not-be-sold-in-January According to their site, a Claret player is 18.99 http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/
  14. The trouble with Neville, is he is already here, and as such, is worth keeping here a while longer. His own performances, combined with the needs of the team will decide how often he starts, but if we had to buy a player, how much do you think it would cost to get one with those leadership qualities and experience, not to mention professionalism? As long as he keeps fit, he is a good addition to the squad. We can only play eleven players at any one time, but we need 25 players, and Nev is also English (does he also count as home grown?). I think the statistics regarding points played with v points without can be misleading, as let's be honest, no two opposition are the same, and it's more important to view a player over recent performances. I've noticed a few mistakes creeping in this season, but I tend to think a lot of fan opinion has to do with the fact that Neville isn't the most graceful of players, and can look awkward sometimes, but Ballet dancer or Street dancer, the guy is still dancing I guess.
  15. I noticed Moyes tried him on the right last time out?
  16. They're 'all' overpaid so don't really care who is the most overpaid. When you consider the debt the club (and other clubs ) are in, and the wages these twats earn, it rolls my stomach. It's time they all earned a lot less, and the cost of tickets and shirts etc came down.
  17. He looks a very exciting player. I'd be interested in giving him a go at Left Back, just to see how he gets on, and offer Baines the odd rest.
  18. Why's that mate? He has a Hamstring injury apparently, but has a good goal record this season.
  19. I think it's all agent hype with Holtby. Moyes was linked with him a few seasons ago, and didn't act. I'm not sure how they can call him a big name, as he has just 3 caps, the first was June 2011, so if he is that good, why only 2 more caps in the space of 18 months? He is a young player with potential, and certainly not a player we should be giving big money to just yet.
  20. For now, things are working well for both Vic, and, the team. I wanted him to start against Newcastle, but he looked tired near the end, so he might not be fully fit.
