i watched the game yesterday, and from what i could see Vellios looked very isolated, he was never going to get balls from Cahill or Bily or Coleman, although in the first 15mins Bily did try. i feel we need someone who is going to take the space between the half way line and opposition box and just sit there and pass the ball, whether its out wide or straight through the middle in behind the defender, someone who can keep hold of it and just make accurate passes, really it should be Ozzy's job, but he seems to have forgotten how to do it. Its what we are told Ross Barkley can do, but Moyes seems to think otherwise.

yeah, but he does'nt look interested this season Bill, maybe its because Arteta got sold from under him, and the lack of money during the summer, who knows, but if he really is as disinterested as he looks, then he needs to fuck off now, we have enough off field issues without team based ones as well.

what i don't get is how in every other sport they have it and it works, yet in football, they don't want it because it will ruin the game and the sport itself, well everyone else manages to deal with it just fine, it HAS to come into the game soon, Lee Mason's display yesterday was just shocking, he was not helped by his assistants but at the end of the day its his final decision.

Seriously think the first priority has to be sorting the midfield out, there is just no creativity there whatsoever, there is no point in us bringing a striker in when we don't make chances for the one's we have at the club already, Drenthe adds some when he is in the team, but we need more than that, we need someone in there, who can pass it short range and make chances for the striker(s)

a bit of decent service might help him as well.

the few times he has come on he has shown some good touches, he had a good flick on with his head for Cahill today, but its a time thing, 10 mins here and there, you have to be good to change a game in that sort of time.

This!! we all go on about needing a goalscorer, but what is the point when we don't create chances for the strikers we have already. we need to start improvements in midfield first imo.

they have solid defenders in Huth and Shawcross which is maybe why Vellios should play, Saha will be on the floor the whole game, Vellios is a big boy, he can handle himself.
