  1. Vellios was our top scorer and then was dropped into the reserves and scored a hat trick, find it hard to believe it was down to his ability, he is more prolific than either Straq or Victor and at the time Saha also. with regards to what you are say to haf, i think it's more to do with the fact that Moyes seems more than happy to put up with the money situation at the club, so you can't say the club is stifling him, also in the last few seasons, we have managed to go backwards somewhat, a few seasons we were experiencing a fairly regular spell in Europe(although we never really made a threat, we still competed) but the past few seasons we hav'nt looked anywhere near that, and take Coleman, he was found out pretty quickly and has not really changed any aspect of his game to cope with it, he has gone very backwards and ive heard Moyes may get rid of him in the summer as the club are slightly disapointed with his progress. The big thing for me though is that in 10 years under Moyes, we still don't have a plan B, we only play one tactic, and players have to fit within that tactic or Moyes has no interest in them ala Drenthe, Now even your average sunday league manager has a few different ways of setting his team up, this is what gets me the most, and we all go on about how much players get paid, well the money Moyes is getting paid, he should be mixing the ideas up a bit more imo.
  2. No, essentially i think that Moyes probably should stay for now(it's not my prefered option) but he has to adapt his mentality a bit, some of the dross we have seen this season at times is just not good enough for a club like ours, but he needs to move with the times a bit otherwise United won't touch him with a bargepole(probably what he's holding on for) so if for that reason only.
  3. I actually think Neville will be a manager one day and i think he will be a bloody good one as well, there is something about him.(not ready for the EFC job though, although i can see it one day) Also, can i just ask, How do you know for a fact that there is nobody better than him we could bring in? please tell me.
  4. Plenty of the 'so-called' legal highs are as strong as the real thing now, some are stronger.
  5. If true, then no wonder we play players who are blatently out of form ahead of promising youngsters and the times Drenthe should have probably started ahead of others, thats a disgrace, shame on the club.
  6. I agree, but in this case, 4/20 sounds a lot better when you say it than 20/4, silly i know. It's annoying to see other countries have embraced it, and stoneage GB is well er still stuck in the stoneage, and what makes it more funny is that the Liberals esentialy want to decriminalise it and the Conservatives don't.
  7. Just to say to anyone who smokes a bit of ganja, Happy 4/20 today!! hope to see you all light up at 4.20pm For those who have no idea what im on about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/420_%28cannabis_culture%29 there are pro-cannabis marches and 'public smokes' all over the world today, huge one going on in Hyde Park.
  8. Why is it always the inlaws or friends that insist on making break-ups like this so bloody nasty, are their own lives that miserable that they have nothing else to do?
  9. ok fair do's then. lets forget it then i did'nt want to imply anything by yourself either mate,
  10. hang on after calling me an idiot, your telling me to grow up, er ok whatever. we shall agree to disagree then.
  11. did i say he had'nt had an impact? No,so don't be a TT bum boy and start making things up, because you tend to talk a lot of sense most of the time, It's difficult to argue the impact he has had, look at the assists and and goals, but he's not this world beater people think he is, and to top it off, he is a 1st class twat to go with it. And don't forget that if he had done so well this season, based on the fact he has no proper contract, A LOT more than just the shite would chasing him to sign up. As i said the other day, we gave him the chance to rebuild his career, and he threw it back and fucked it up. If you still want us to sign someone like that, then fuck knows i give up tbh.
  12. No still the same, when he is "searching 24/7 for the right buyer" well according to him anyway, not parading round the Rovers Return.
  13. What game? he has'nt got one, all he does is run at people and more often than not he just loses the ball or he just runs into a defender losing position. They can have Drenthe, he is misguided, wayward and cleary football is not the no1 thing on his mind. No loss imo.
  14. thanks, i did'nt realise he was 30, thought he was a bit younger, but then he has been round a fair while.
  15. It's an American thing, they have commercials every 8-10mins on their shows
  16. Bit more than one or two i reckon, Howard,Hibbert,Jags,Distin,Neville,Cahill, all are around the age of 30 or over, so we need to be looking to replace them at some point(not all at once obviously) Drenthe and Straq will be no longer in a few weeks(well Royston already is) and im not including Pienaar as we don't know what will happen with him.
  17. The English football media. I noticed whislt i was out today some of the headlines about the Chelski vs Barca match last night. Ridiculous they are, one was 'Drogba 1 Messi 0, well the match i watched, Drogba spent more time on the turf than on his feet, no mention of that anywhere, Messi had 4 or 5 runs where he went past the entire Chelski midfeild and defence, just because he did't score does'nt mean he did'nt do anything. Another i saw was 'Chelsea defensive masterclass' well as far as i could tell, what Chelski did, to quote a former Chelski manager was: "Park the bus" I was'nt aware that particular tactic was classed as a defensive masterclass. The media in this country are so ridiculously over the top it drives me insane at times, well more than normal.
  18. True, but he is still a nob though We gave him an amazing chance to rebuild his career, and he fucked it up.
  19. Thats me when Kenwright comes on the TV.
  20. The up and coming manager in the game is said to be Freedman at Crystal Palace, they say Taggart wants him involved at OT, but Freedman now in a managerial role has declined twice, Lambert does look as though he will be a decent manager one day though, im not 100% convinced by Rodgers, it's only a few years ago he was backroom staff like AVB and look what happened to him when he got on the big stage.
  21. If we concentrated on our own league position and performance maybe we might actually get somewhere, who actually gives a flying fuck what they are doing.
  22. Oh for sure he is, but he has had a mixed(ish) season this year, ive heard from a good source about a possible bid from United in the summer(could be a double bid with Felli), i hope not though, we would never be the same without him again, he is vital to the way we play like you said.
  23. He has no competition, we won't ever know how good Garbutt or Bidwell are because they never play same as Barkley, Baines only other rival is good old skill Neville.(who is busy trying to play everywhere else on the pitch)
  24. Lets be honest, Baines has offered some very mixed results down the side anyway this season.
  25. Read something last night that suggests if Harry leaves Spurs, then they are going to approach Rodgers first over Moyes. i suppose that's good from our point of view at the moment(better the devil you know and all that) but if it does roll like that, then it kinda just emphasises the thing about Moyes always being the bridesmaid and never the bride, they would clearly rather look at the 5min rookie than the 10 year veteran.
