  1. Desperately as well imo. Jelavic is suffering from a severe dose of second season syndrome and low confidence, whilst Vic scored yesterday, his goal ratio will never keep us in the hunt for 4th. We need other options in the middle(without Mirallas we look devoid of ideas at times) and we need competition/replacement for Howard and possibly another CB also. Im guessing a lot of this is the reason Moyes is stalling on his contract at the moment(although i have a feeling he may look to move on anyway)
  2. well done Victor, i was just going to suggest a substitution prior to that
  3. lucky there, need some fresh ideas at the moment.
  4. Forget the refs, it's happening to all the teams this year, if you honestly think there is some vendetta against EFC then you need a breather from the footy imo, personally id be more concerned about our team selection today, it's horrendous what the hell do Vellios and Barkley need to prove to get games, Vellios should NEVER be behind Anichebe in the pecking order, never.
  5. Well we will soon see then won't we J? but Sturridge aint up to much imo, did little at City, moved to Chelsea and done little there, and has since vanished to the bench/reserves. Honestly i don't think he will improve them beyond what they have(Borini or Carroll) in fact surely they should just bring the big donkey back from loan, would save them a fortune
  6. Imo, £6.5 could and should be used towards a new goalkeeper, Lescott should only be brought in on a loan basis if we do insist on bringing him back.
  7. Agreed, Sturridge is no better than Borini or Carroll, and Ince is a good player, but no more than that, strange signings imo.
  8. Why would it? we need alternatives and the Pienaar/Baines partnership has been missing in most of the games so for this season, Pienaar in particular has had some horrible games this season. We need to try these things, find new options/ideas.
  9. What's clear from today is we need some more options, be it permanent transfers or loans in the window. Another keeper is now looking a must have, and we have to get another forward minded player, Jelavic seems lost at the moment. Also Moyes needs to get it into him that the same tactic very rarely works against every team, we have to mix it up a bit, we are so predictable at times.
  10. What the hell are we doing out there today
  11. FFS Howard what are you doing man!!
  12. can't keep hold of the ball at the moment
  13. I don't fancy us today against this lot, think we will lose 2-0

  15. A much needed 3 points then, but really it's masking another poor performance from us, for most of that second half we lacked fluidness and creativity, hopefully the January window will see us a loan or two and sort the problem out.
  16. Another game where 2nd half we are just devoid of ideas, we need to stop this, it's becoming a bad habit.
  17. We could have Mirallas back http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php which would be a huge bonus against a team like Spurs. I think Moyes selection and tactics could prove crucial in this game, we need to get control out wide so we can stop them running at us, need Baines and Pienaar to have good games, then i think we can get a win no problem. However if we decide to dither and sit back firing long balls then we could end up on the end of a thrashing if we are not careful, Spurs have good players and are in form at the moment. A win would really put things back on track again, lift the spirits, 2-0
  18. No, that was a childhood car accident i think, the baseball bat story is true from what i know, ive heard that a few times from various people.
  19. if we are passing it about across the pitch as a team then the players should be moving at the same time to make space for each other and in anticipation for the through ball, no need for hold up play imo, certainly not as much as we do it anyway, comes down to tactics at the end of the day. however i do somewhat agree with what you are saying, in that Jelavic is a proper lightweight considering the size of him.
  20. If we pass it along the ground instead of hoofing it then we wouldn't need to worry about this though.
  21. Thing is, Felli could be playing in he middle if Moyes wanted him too. He's upfront in the Cahill position at the moment, we have Pienaar/Mirallas/Naismith now, 2/3 of them can do the wide duties with the 3rd playing in behind Jelavic. Fellaini doesn't need to play upfront, albeit he is doing well, but imo if HE says he would prefer to play defensive, then the chances are we would get more out of him in his favourite position.
  22. Well i thought we could have and should have won that today aside from the nonsense penalty award, but we just seemed to pack up in the second half.
