  1. Because Vellios has looked very confident and assured in most of the games he's played in, scored the odd goal too. Victor on the other hand has taken the best part of four years to actually start to show he might have some worth, he's lucky he still wears the blue shirt, most managers would probably have moved him on by now.
  2. Training matches and pre-season friendlies are no indicator of whether or not someone is good enough imo. The youngsters need first team action, even if it's only 20 mins at the end of each game or playing in cup matches. Prime example would be when Barkley came in at the start of last season and did'nt look quite ready, which is why i always feel sorry for Vellios as i feel he has shown he is ready imo.
  3. I can see why this would appeal. A proper transfer budget, decent stadium, but defo silly season, it would be a mammoth project rebuilding Sunderland and they are hardly going in the direction Moyes claims he wants to go in.
  4. Looks a decent player and deserves a bit more game time imo.
  5. Scored 1 goal since December. Is that not the problem we have at the moment?
  6. Not sure i would agree with this myself: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/leon-osman-has-been-carrying-everton-this-season-claims-david-moyes-8544627.html
  7. cheers mate, but honestly its fine now, because i got it seen too quickly the stuff could be washed out, burn stain will be there for a few days. i will go back to work tomorrow
  8. Chemical burn to the left eye. Have spent most of today in A+E due to me managing to flick the minutest amount of some bacterial disinfectant in my face at work. Big fuss over nothing tbh, but procedure and all that bull. I now have a nice yellow burn stain across the base of my eyeball
  9. We possibly still do need to look for an alternative but nevertheless If he does leave to fulfill his career ambitions elsewhere or because he believes he can't take us any further then fine. If he leaves because the board refuse to back this manager of 11 years then that really will be very frustrating indeed and leaves very little hope for whoever comes in after him.
  10. Some serious "crate diggin" so to speak going on here today. And many, many more
  11. Great performance today from the lads, my only complaint would be the odd Mirallas substitution.
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIKm8FNUzdY
  13. Im quietly confident for todays game 2-1 Mirallas and Jelavic.
  14. All i know is that we need CHANGE of some sort. Now if that comes in the the form of a new manager with different ideas and views to contribute then great. If not and Moyes does sign a new contract then he needs to change the way he does certain things. He has to develop a Plan B, and he has to start looking to win games properly, no more 1-0's then sit back and defend it, top teams look to keep scoring goals till the final whistle. It's looking like it will be a huge summer in terms of managerial changes throughout the league so it could be an interesting summer for the club. But lets face it, no matter what happens, nothing will ever progress or change for the club till there are changes at the very top.
  15. Av, Martinez was the one who created the whole Swansea revolution, people seem to forget that at times, id hardly say he's new to managment. Also, they might fight relegation each year but they do it in a way that keeps their(few)fans happy and appreciating things, unlike us who are are (like you say) capable of greatness, but no point being capable if you never use it imo, we know how good we CAN be, but the manager only plays that way on rare occasions and against certain teams, which i find a total waste of time and effort. Jelavic sums up that ethos this season imo
  16. Seen stuff that the boo's were because he flicked the V's at the fans as he went off, i hope not.
  17. Gibson is too injury prone imo. Hopefully Neville won't be involved as much next season and if Felli goes thats us 2 down, we need to bring someone else in, and a winger(like Mertens)
  18. It's essentially supposed to be a thread about transfer rumours, can we not keep it too that? and keep the arguments in the form of a private message environment please.
  19. Thing is, change it about all you want but how long is it before enough is enough, and it just becomes easier to let Vellios see the season out and let Jelavic sit on the bench and give him a fresh run next season, what is it 10 games to go till the end of season? Id like to see Vellios play some part today.
  20. But thats just it, it's not. Or is it more a case of the managers stale tactics and lack of ideas, because the playing squad individually probably is good enough to compete week in week out when everyone is fit. I do like the idea of starting over with fresh ideas and a clean slate though.
  21. Scrappy game so far, but good we are winning, need to step it up in the second half.
  22. Along the ground from a through ball normally, but certainly not overhead or with Fellaini behind him and so much being the focal point and goal threat.
