  1. Well Neville is off to United to replace the outgoing Phelan and Steel according to what i have heard today, so we can count him off the list(hopefully)
  2. One of my favorite bands of many years, and no doubt many to come. Just a shame they only did a few albums.
  3. It can only be based on knowing the track record our chairman and board have, it's not the best now is it. I also hope we don't hang round till next week waiting for Martinez to make his mind up. Like you said, it's very frustrating at the moment, and once that man does come in, then it will all start with Fellaini and Baines, so it's only going to get even more frustrating, bring on next season i say.
  4. Totally agree 100% with this, the only people that do are Kenwright himself and Elstone. Whats bugging me though is that it's seems we had no follow on plan should our manager ever depart. Thats just amateurness of the highest order imo. We all know there is no loyalty in football, you just can't place that much trust in someone, there always needs to be a fallback, and my worry now is that if we don't move quickly to get our man then he will go somewhere else, and it will end up being Stubbs or Weir. Even you Dunc said the other day you would'nt be happy with that did you not?
  5. No we don't, but football is a risky business and you have to have plans in place when certain situations arise, surely it's common sense. a dangerous game to play otherwise imo.
  6. We can't be too slow mate. Aside from our own vacancy, there is also one at Stoke, and by all accounts in the coming few weeks Newcastle and Fulham as well. Martinez has already been linked with us and Stoke, and if the Newcastle job does come up, i imagine the names we are being linked with will be on their shortlist too. Basically we don't want to miss out on our man.
  7. I don't agree with just kicking them all out, because many muslims are very nice people(i know a few myself What i do think though is we should kick out all these preachers and ban any from coming in, that preach this hate style of Islam, they don't hide themselves so we know where they are, so get them out imo.
  8. Are you serious Matt? BK has shown once again he out of his depth running the club imo, he should ALWAYS have at least had some idea of at least a name to replace Moyes. You never know what can happen with the manager, poor results, personal issues, picked by a bigger club, anything. Even Whelan said yesterday that if Martinez does go, he has some idea of who he would like to speak too. We seem to work on a day to day basis at GP it's an appalling way to do business imo.
  9. that would be the perfect setup tbh, Vitor is a bit more the silent type preferring to concentrate on tactics and training rather than AVB and Jose who tend to like the limelight, so Nev could and im sure be more than happy to do all the talking.
  10. Doesn't matter how much he gives if he does'nt produce the goods, he's of little use. He is also one of the players in that group that really we should be looking to replace sooner rather than later. His partnership with Baines has been well and truly sussed out by the other teams in the league this season, but Baines still managed a half decent shift this year, why not Pienaar? Yes we need numbers like Dunc says but if someone makes us an offer we should take it imo.
  11. Go back a page Louis, i posted this yesterday
  12. Sky Sports News ‏@SkySportsNews Wigan manager Roberto Martinez considering position and will make decision within 24 hours #SSN Martinez to Stoke, Pereria to Everton? Or is something more sinister going on.
  13. Pereira is now ahead of Martinez in the running:http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/everton/next-permanent-manager
  14. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=403633 Vitor Pereira has a pre-contract agreement with Everton since two months ago. The contacts were established by his manager, Christophe Henrotay, still under exploration market, but evolved into a tacit understanding the cycle coach being confined to two-year contract and has not been outlined by the SAD portista the hypothesis renewal. Negotiations with the emblem of Liverpool however given that precipitated the entry team FC Porto in a spiral of bad results from March 13, with the elimination of Champions, losing the final of the League Cup and dependence on third parties in the League after draw with Maritimo who left the Dragons four points behind then leader Benfica. The long ago announced, but only now officially out of the Everton manager, David Moyes, for Manchester United this also made contacts have been intensified even from a distance in time and space, with the protection of blues keep open other possibilities in the case of either party terminates the agreement.
  15. The market is jumping up and down at the moment, difficult to read whats going on. Only Kenwright and suntan Bob really know who they want. Although Eddie Howe's name is creeping up the list today, i can't say im even familiar with that name tbh.
  16. 2 year extension signed. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2328479/Leon-Osman-signs-new-contract-Everton.html
  17. My haf style description of the current manager status: Moyes inherited and old scrapyard when he came to EFC, it contained a few good relics like Ginola and Gascoigne, but nothing worth saving. Slowly over the years he has taken his JCB to the site and rid the place of it's crap and built the foundations and brickwork to a nice big house, and all this under the watchful eye of councilor Kenwright in the planning department who promised swimming pools and tennis courts. However Moyes has now been offered the chance to help build and live in a castle so has left us with an unpainted house. We need someone to paint and decorate that house so we can sell it for maximum profit, we don't need one of builders trying to paint the house. We need a decorator to finish the job.
  18. OMFG!!! BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES AND CLOSE ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS. PULIS IS LEAVING STOKE.
  19. There was an article floating round yesterday in Portuguese suggesting that Pereira is happy to stay at Porto for another year. Sorry can't find it at the moment. EDIT: http://m.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/porto-vitor-pereira-annuncia-credo-che-restero-qui-450169 Despite rumors sull'interessamento Everton against him have been made more and more insistent, the future of Vitor Pereira seems to be still at the Porto, with whom he won the title of Portugal. The technician Lusitanian has in fact dismissed the rumors about his possible farewell: "I was often asked to express my feelings about my future. I think I'll stay here again next season."
  20. Laudrup would be great, Solskjaer is what i got told the other day, i notice there is some movement in the markets on him today as well.
  21. You can get 12/1 for Klinsman and 10/1 for Laudrup in a couple of places, and Laudrups odds seem to be shortening.
  22. Coleman, i was happy to get of him when he was playing in midfield, but now he has been a revelation, Hibbert will struggle to get his place back imo and Seamus has made himself into one of the top RB in the league. Well done to him.
  23. The money seems to be on Laudrup and Klinsman today: http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/everton/next-permanent-manager
