This is the same Heitinga that a large section of Blues fans voted player of the season not 2 years ago. He was limited to few chances last season because Daveys top boy(Jags) was fit again and Heits just lost his place. I actually think his game maybe more suited towards Martinez style of play, id like to see him stay till at least January and see how it goes for him, Heitinga does have something to offer imo.

I don't want us too look at CB's at the moment, other positions are more important imo. Anyway Heitinga may stay now there is a new manager, it's a different set of ideas now and he might see it as a chance to get back in the team. It was very difficult for him last season, following on from a player of the season award, with limited appearances was always going to be difficult, he always looked as though he was trying too hard to impress last season.

Watched the Chic set at Glastonbury last night, on for 1hr 20min which surprised me slightly(i expected the beeb to be 100% Arctic rolls/monkeys whatever they are called) im sure it will be the only decent thing on there all weekend, it was amazing, Nile Rodgers is a genius/legend.

£6m on Mcgeady? that's gone up a bit, it was £4m the other day and that was too much. I do hope it's the usual Everton smokescreen and that we sign someone completely different. Mcgeady,Kone, and Alcaraz are really not who i thought we would sign this summer.

Dave Kelly is a fairly regular poster on GOT, and you are correct in saying that he is a shareholder from what i read a few days ago, but he didn't seem that bothered about missing the meeting simply because of it being the same old story. I will try and find the post that explained his side of the meeting thing.

I agree with you on this, my point was more that last season even though nulified, Baines still showed he had something else in the locker, whereas Pienaar didn't, Pienaar has never been one of my favorites but he has been a great servant to the club and id never right him off just yet, although like Osman i think he should be more of a bench player that's all.

Im not saying that Redmond should walk in ahead of Pienaar, but we do need another winger and we need someone on that left side, as Mirallas always seems to be on the right, so the chances are Pienaar is not going to be a starter next year anyway if we get someone

1.Mate, did you see Pienaar play last season? he was horrible at times. His partnership with Baines had been completely sussed out by every other team in the league, and unlike Baines he didn't seem to have anything else in his locker to offer the team, i can't believe that Redmond could be any worse than Pienaar was last season that's all. Oviedo and Coleman are both really fullbacks lets be honest now. Think how bad Coleman was at right midfield for 2 years? then look how good he is at right back after 1 year? another season like last and this time next season he will have surpassed Baines as the best fullback at the club. Already been some talk down here for a while that Chelsea are interested in him. 2.Yeah i see what you mean but it's a priority position is it not? we need another winger/s unless Martinez is planning on playing a different way that is. 3.No, it won't be a new set of skills i agree with you on that, it will similar to what we get from Mirallas, but it's not like we are blessed with an abundance of game changers is it. Thats just the ones that played, your forgetting guys like Kissock potentially 'The English Messi' linked with Real Madrid and Chelsea at 14, and look what happened there. Then theres Jeffers,Cadamateri etc etc. Barkley really does look as though he has got something though, bit rough round the edges still but underneath a talented individual.

THIS^^^ Very well said Louis. We are getting linked to a lot of players that Martinez was linked too when at Wigan. They might have taken Wigan on to the next level that they required, but can the same players take us on? im not so sure. We are at a completely different end of the spectrum to Wigan(even when they were still in the top flight) and i feel a different level of player is required, if it means we only sign 1/2 players rather than 3 or 4 then so be it, but it's got to be the right man and some of the names linked so far are just gash and nothing like the standard we need.
