  1. Down near Chichester in West Sussex. It's all the horsey set round here that's why
  2. Id say it was both, but if Rooney has his own deals like Mark said then it wouldn't make a difference, and lets be honest. Can you imagine Kenwright around Rooney? we all know what he was like with Moyes. Also Rooney's agent is a right snake by all accounts, they say he is the one causing the trouble with United at the moment.
  3. No im not saying that am i? fully aware of what he can do on the pitch and it would be amazing to have that in the team, what im saying is that he is a HUGE star now and most clubs would be using him in a marketing capacity as much as a playing one, but to us it would be a little difficult being stuck with Kitbag. Now Romey is saying his own rights are separate and make no difference, so yeah Dunc bring his 30 goals a season on!!
  4. not how it works these days though is it, everyone knows what he can do on the pitch but a player like that is worth more, but with us stuck in this stupid deal, it would be pointless.
  5. What's the point, even if we could bring him back that stupid kitbag deal would prevent us from making any money from him.
  6. I will need a rather large bong i know that.
  7. If we get him then i hope it works out for him, i remember him from his PSV days, i just don't see that it makes any financial sense, and as i have also said before i think lack of creativity from midfield has not helped our strikers in the past either.
  8. Poor bloke is probably just desperate to play, and see's he might have a chance that's all, silly comment though.
  9. Im not a football scout though, why should i go out looking for players for the club? i just don't see this makes any financial sense that's all.
  10. In that case, bring in Alcaraz on a free, sell Heitinga for £3m then start looking at £8m strikers instead of £5m ones. Im content to wait and see how we lineup at the start of the season, ive often thought the lack of goals in the team is more a creativity problem than scoring one at times.
  11. Of course it makes a difference, if it's a young player they have more of a chance of turning things around and it may have just been a bad move for them but their career may still be full of potential. Older players are likely to struggle to get chances. In any case like i said in a previous post, i don't see how we can afford this transfer more than anything else it does'nt make sense given our finances.
  12. maybe not the full amount, but we have more chance of making money back of a younger player than an older one if it's not working.
  13. It's not about the amount of goals Kone has scored though. If for some reason it doesn't work out for him then we never make back the £5m, whereas with a younger player if he fails we do make it back. I don't honestly see how we can afford this transfer. And ive seen Kone's stats 113 in 323 games i believe it is, that equates to roughly 1 goal in every 3 games. I think we need a 1 in 2 man myself.
  14. To all those bitching about Vic in favor of Kone: Anichebe has 7 goals and 4 assists from only 19 games. Kone has 11 goals and 5 assists from 32 games Not a huge difference really is there.
  15. What are you on about? Kone has had ONE season in the prem, needs 2-3 before he can be classed as a proven scorer, Jelavic scored more in half a season than Kone did in a full one, then look what happened.
  16. Open yer eyes mate!! Kone has had one season in the prem, how does that make him a proven scorer? look at Jelavic's first season, he was a machine, then look what happened during his second season. He needs to be judged over a couple of seasons before being classed as anywhere near proven.
  17. That would be the my maximum tbh, anymore and id be worried especially with the potential fee.
  18. Lot's of Wellie brands Mike, round here these are popular with the masses, im not sure how considering the prices:http://products.outdoorandcountry.co.uk/search?w=hunter%20wellies&gclid=CN6ftdi2kbgCFdLLtAodnxsAMA
  19. He will be on a lot more than £10,000 a week here mate, im sure of it. We will all find out soon anyway.
  20. I just find it hard to believe that in the whole of European,South American and African Football, there is not another slightly younger striker available for suggested £5m, also our lack of goals at times often is caused by the lack of creativity/chances coming from midfield imo.
  21. Good, that should count us out then, I really don't want Kone as our main goal getter/strike option.
  22. Not so sure about that,i reckon he will last a bit longer. I don't think he's going to be with us longer than a couple of seasons though. Got to give the guy a chance.
  23. Yes you did, but many blues seem to have quickly forgotten his swashbuckling defensive performances from the previous season and are happy to kick him out the door, you even mention selling him.
