it's a combination of things i think: 1. Kenwright clearly does not have the resources to run a prem club. 2. Moyes and his reluctence to persue the foreign market (better bargins to be had imo) 3. Lack of communication with fans, which just winds everyone up, then people start wanting to sack the board, manager, etc. If they were a bit more honest then the fans would understand more, but were always so cagey with everything. 4. Yes, some of the other teams do seem to spending stupid money this summer, but that seems to happen in this country, hence the reason wenger shops abroad.

If it is the board, then moyes should have some balls and come out and say he is not happy with the lack of backing, ffs we are suposed to be mounting a campaign in europe. rafa did it with them yanks, it soon shook them up. he's a decent manager and seems like a decent bloke so how can he be happy with this every year? his head will start to turn towards other jobs before long, i can see it coming.

i agree Rob this line " ...there has been some irresponsible buying and spending by some clubs..." i think is moyes warming up his list of reasons for us not signing anyone, before long you will get the " We looked but nothing was there " line also. However there is still a month till the start of the season so we will have to wait and see tbh. you never know.

I think some are forgetting that signings from last year were taken against the TV money from this year. Some fans were expecting a spending spree and it has'nt happened.

Routledge at £3m woud be a bargin, even n'zogbia would be good but the barcodes will want more than £3m, also routledge can play on both sides, so would be cover if needed.

what i mean is that i wonder if he might get his head turned easily. if an offer was there ie to spain if he scored 20 next season, would he dig his heels in for the move like he has now with us, or would he be happy with his move home to blues? he is taking a big risk turning down sunderland/portsmouth, let's just hope we are hiding in the background.

I agree with what your saying Rom, but we will end up with no one if we don't get a move on, baines will make his money back he is worth £6m, but i'm more worried that the people we are looking at are also being linked with teams like Fulham,Wigan and Sunderland, etc etc. Any players that those teams are looking at, are not going to be able to take us forward in any direction.

I agree, he seems the most obvious, i don't think we have bid for Koumas and the Smith thing has quietened down a bit, so it must be Richardson, would be a good signing.
