  1. Yeah, but our defense wouldn't be shit.
  2. Cream yourselves Toffeetalk, Barkley scored!
  3. I may be causing trouble here, but didn't you pick us to have a relegation struggle and Martinez to be sacked by midseason? So you expect us to have the top scorer in the league, but be in a relegation battle? Did I miss us signing Ray Charles and Stephen Hawking to play as our defenders?
  4. I usually don't believe rumors I see on NSNO.
  5. At the bare minimum, he'd be a much better alternative/cover to Mirallas and Pienaar than Gueye is.
  6. Form and talent combined, I don't think Duffy ever deserved to be in over Jagielka or Distin last year, had it been Duffy vs Heitinga, I think there were probably times where Duffy would've gotten in over Heitinga, but even Heitinga wasn't featuring often in the second half of the season.
  7. I just can't believe it. It defies all logic, and I'd lose all respect for Moyes.
  8. Is Julio Cesar not good enough for the prem? ;-)
  9. He's good enough to play here, but I doubt we could get him at a reasonable price.
  10. I think it's about time we recall him from loan. ;-) ... To be fair, Martinez said that this was McAleny's "next step", so maybe there is hope for him despite him not breaking into the first team and him being a bit older.
  11. Not for 7m. I'd take him for 2-3m or on a loan to buy deal, but I doubt United are interested in either of those.
  12. Martinez hasn't managed a single competitive match for Everton yet. Absurd to judge 1 month of Martinez against 10 years of Moyes. I will tell you when I see the league table next May, and the May after that. That's what matters.
  13. We wanted to sign Dier on a permanent, but he didn't want to sign because he would get first team opportunities back at Sporting Lisbon.
  14. Can't imagine he'd be worth THAT much more. Maybe 20m? 22m max. Fullbacks just don't have the same value of strikers and midfielders.
  15. Well we have to send him where he's wanted. I'd like to see him coached by Owen Coyle, but Wigan seem to have signed a number of players and have a fairly decent sized squad that could be decent in that division. We'll see what happens, I guess.
  16. A lot of Doncaster fans seemed to rate Lundstram, or at the very minimum didn't think he was out of his depth. Hope he goes back.
  17. Ah, I think none of us are very credible, but that certainly doesn't stop us from voicing our array of opinions. In all honesty, I don't see Baines leaving UNLESS United ups their bid to 15-16m+ , AND Baines states that he wants to leave. I don't see us accepting 12m, and I don't think Baines will try to force a move.
  18. Wonder if a loan deal for Lundstram could be in the works? Maybe back to Doncaster? I'd definitely like to see him loaned to Doncaster as they are now a Championship side.
  19. So Distin, Duffy, Oviedo, Hibbert on the trip. Also, quite disappointing if Alcaraz is already injured.
  20. I only got into football in January 2010, before Lescott was sold... And with that, all of my credibility on this board is gone, if I had any to begin with
  21. I doubt it. If he was truly set to leave, I don't think the board/Kenwright/Martinez would be so deadset and vocal about him not leaving, only to have a deal secretly agreed outside of the public. That's just bad public relations. It will be interesting to see if Man Utd come in with a second bid closer to our asking price, but until then, I think Baines will remain a blue.
  22. Age doesn't matter for a free transfer. Duh.
