  1. Didn't know where to post this, but the club seem to imply that there will be movement. "We appreciate your patience. As soon as we have any CONFIRMED news you will be the first to know. " Official Everton Twitter account.
  2. Obviously heading north to sign for Leyton Orient, obviously! A real hot team in League 1!
  3. Okay, I kind of hope we bring in another striker now. Kone and Jelavic haven't done it for us so far, so this means we should probably go in for another striker (Lukaku please). As much as Vellios deserves a run out, my gut tells me even if given a run out, he wouldn't fair much better than Kone or Jelavic (Although I'd like to be surprised).
  4. Okay, thanks. Sorry mate, transfer dealings & rumors are running haywire, a bit hard to keep up with all of it.
  5. If I got what Sky Sports said correctly, they turned down Arsenal & Spurs for inquiries into one of their players, but have allowed another English club to open talks with a player (Has to be us, right?).
  6. Good career for him. I didn't know anyone at that level rated him so highly.
  7. Moyes' antics have been a bit ridiculous, mostly the comments he's made to the press. I don't think anyone could be mad at Fellaini though, even if he goes. He's played for us, he hasn't run his mouth in the media, and he hasn't refused to train or made any drama about a move. He's handled himself like a professional.
  8. It would be a shame for McCarthy if he gets stuck playing Championship football. Like Haf said, he has one suitor, he is way too good for the Championship, I doubt he'll be a happy camper if he doesn't get a move today.
  9. You are missing my point. A 26 year old is at or near peak value, 3-5 years from now he won't be worth as much. Essentially, we will most likely lose money on this players transfer fees. If one wants to make money off of a player, they need to be in the market for 18-24ish year olds.
  10. Depends on what type of club he wants. We'll never compete for a league title given our current finances/revenues... Period. Now,could we become a team that fights for a Champions League place every year? possibly.
  11. *He is older than Fellaini. So technically if Fellaini goes and he comes in, we are raising the average age of our squad. And he's not cheap either, so age is something to consider.
  12. If he becomes the player that everyone thinks he can be, then we'll almost certainly have to sell him at some point (Unfortunately). We have to keep hold of him for a few more years though, his value is still rising and he can be an impact player here.
  13. I'd let him go for 5-6m. I appreciate Vic's effort and increase in workrate last year, it really upped my opinion of him. But he'll never be in the starting 11 here without injury (or at least he shouldn't be our best striker in an ideal situation), so if the offer is right, I'd let him go.
  14. Don't think Heitinga would want to play for Feyenoord. Aren't they Ajax's main rival? Or is that PSV?
  15. Well if Martinez doesn't think he's good enough to warrant ANY playing time by now, I highly doubt he'll make it here.
  16. I wonder if a year or two from now if we'll have mostly Spanish speaking players, similar to Newcastle (although their squad is heavily French). Just a curious thought.
  17. His goal against Chelsea was pretty special, I must say that. Top professional, gave 100% all the time.
  18. Unless one is a goal keeper, the early twenties are when a player needs to find their level and play regularly.
  19. As much as I'd like to do that, With our current striking lineup, we will be 10th or worse by January, and there is no value in the January market. To be fair, there is no value on deadline day either. Wish we would've put the 6m from Kone on someone else.
  20. Bertrand wouldn't be a bad punt. Get some English players back in the squad, but he's been priced at 7m by the newspapers (Which could very well be a bullshit valuation), but I don't think I'd pay that much for him.
  21. Never was. Was an incredibly hard worker and had a lot of spirit, but never good enough for this level. It says something that before we signed him on loan, he had a trial with Leicester City and they didn't have any interest.
  22. He should either be given a chance, or sold/loaned out. He's too old to be a reserve team player. Either give him a shot since Kone and Jelavic have been woeful, or let him advance his career elsewhere.
  23. I imagine he'd be a better replacement than most. He's 29 though, and Daniel Levy would be... well, Daniel Levy in negotiations.
  24. Blackpool leading the Championship. I'm utterly shocked, as I picked them for relegation with that moron Ince in charge, and their late-summer squad crisis. But it's only been 5 matches, they could still go down, and will probably struggle.
