  1. Complete coincidence to be honest. I wanted to pick a team that was midtable, in Stockholm and take them from there. Not to toot my own horn, but I did quite a job there. Fejzullahu is quite the player, but I had to sell him because Aston Villa made an offer I couldn't refuse for him. It was in January, I finished like 4th-6th or somewhere in there. I used the cash from that sale to bring in a few quality players on loan and permanents for the next year and won the league.
  2. Agreed with it being a shame he plays for AIK! They are rubbish. I once managed Djurgarden on a FIFA career mode for 3 seasons.

    Man City

Hate to be the negative one here, but I think we drop one here. I don't think we'll get smashed, but I think they'll take 3 points off us.
  4. Exactly. Chelsea may not want to sell, and there may be more lucrative offers for Lukaku than us.
  5. He's not even making the bench. He didn't even make the bench when Kone was injured and Lukaku was ineligible... Mirallas played upfront when Jelavic came off.
  6. Not sure he's what Martinez wants in a defender. Doesn't really fit into Martinez's style, plus he was never a world beater, just a good squad player, capable defensive//tackling rightback. I doubt his wages are that high, though.
  7. You whine an awful lot about a bench player.
  8. To be honest, I think if Vellios were any good , he'd have gotten more of a chance by now.
  9. No chance we get De Bruyne barring us being bought by a Qatari billionaire.
  10. Coleman, with honorable mention to Distin, Lukaku (1st half), and Barkley. Most others put in decent shifts as well.
  11. Great first half, poor start to the 2nd half, but we grew back into the game and played pretty well until that shit/sloppy goal we conceded from Remy...
  12. What happened to Newcastle being in a different league to us?
  13. Barkley! Get loud please, Goodison.
  14. Baines was sloppy there. Unusually reckless from him. Also, Martin Tyler just gave a shout out to Distin, saying he's been a top class player for years, and is shocked that he never earned a French callup.
  15. You know, Belgians have done quite well for us it seems. However, I'm going to start screaming my head off every time Howard makes a save.
  16. I don't really. He may technically be a senior player, I'm not sure, but I don't want him in between the sticks. He's young, has no experience, and doesn't seem to be a highly rated/big up and comer.
  17. We've only got two, real senior goalkeepers. Wouldn't shock me as most clubs carry 3.
  18. It was pay as you play for the transfer fee I believe, not wages. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Louis-Saha-I-told-Everton-I-would-pay-for-free-article38362.html
  19. Almost certain he's not on a pay as you play. I can't imagine very many Premier League footballers are on those deals.
  20. I remember reading that he could be the best Bosman of the summer IF he stays fit. It seems him staying a fit is a real challenge, or at least over the past year or so. Wish him a speedy recovery.
  21. I see both your points. While it seems crazy, Distin is 35, Heitinga will likely leave in January or in the summer, Alcaraz and Jags are both on the wrong side of 30, and unfortunately I just can't see Duffy making it here (although I'd love to be proved wrong). Bringing in a young-mid career centerback who is highly capable might not be such a bad idea. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Heitinga, Duffy, and maybe even Distin (less certain about him) aren't with the club next year. Our #1 need has been and still is signing a CAPABLE striker on a PERMANENT deal. I just can't see Lukaku ending up with us permanently, he could probably play at a few bigger clubs and I doubt we could afford a transfer fee. I wouldn't mind seeing Jelavic leave for 4-8m.
  22. 1- City 2- Chelsea 3- Man United 4- Arsenal 5- Spurs (Had Arsenal not signed Ozil, I'd have put them as 4th) 16- Fulham 17- Hull 18- WBA 19- Sunderland (Although it will highly depend on their new manager) 20- Palace, unfortunately
