  1. I was born in September of '93. So I wasn't even alive.
  2. I've heard that Evra could sign with Monaco. He played there prior to playing at Man U, and now they're big time because they're being bank-rolled by some Russian billionaire.
  3. Now you just said that because he's American -.- . Freddie Adu was getting first team action at 15 years old ;-)
  4. I'm winding you up Haf , though I think loan time can be good for almost any player before stepping into a topflight first team, including Barkley.
  5. He got plenty of football! At his level (Sheffield Wednesday)!
  6. He's done here. We need to get a new striker or two in so he can leave.
  7. If he's cheap, yes please. Not much money at stake, high potential upside.
  8. That'd be more risky than the tables in Vegas. Yearly losses, high amount of debt, no plans to change that. Poor investment.
  9. Martin Atkinson the ref. Not excited about that appointment. I'm going with a 2-0 United win, or a 1-1 draw.
  10. Good player. Needs to move on though. He had one bad season with us (last year) and the talking heads on this board forget his quality. Of course they don't remember 11/12 when he was one of our best 2-3 players.
  11. Howard is 34, says he doesn't want to play until 40 like Friedel, Van der Sar, others... Begovic is only 26, might be worth making a move for him in the summer... Then again, rumors have linked Begovic to some big, big clubs....
  12. Oviedo looks like a pub team player.
  13. I think he could come in and do a job. Maybe he could take Barkley's place completely for 2-3 months?
  14. Dempsey can be quite useful/threatening when he plays well. Unfortunately, he's been out of form for awhile, and I don't see him being a Martinez type of player. I don't know, he's a hard worker, but I feel like Martinez likes more technically gifted players.
  15. Partially agree with this, although Barkley is still young and probably doesn't need to play 90 minutes every week, the squad could use some freshening up and some players will need a rest come Spring. Barkley isn't entitled to a spot either, it seems like he gets special treatment from fans regardless of his performance.
  16. Wonder if Hope is ready for a loan move, and if he's good enough for a Championship loan move (Might need a L1 or L2 loan, at least for his first move)... Maybe Vellios would take a move there with two of his teammates being there? Or if Garbutt isn't being challenged enough at Colchester, maybe we could arrange a deal to send him to Yeovil. Matthew Kennedy? Nah, he probably would need to go to L1 or L2 first.
  17. Naismith has only been with us one year ;-).
  18. I think they're Hard to believe, Yeovil in the Championship? It was quite amazing when they went up. Unfortunately, it would seem they are a league above the club's potential. Hope they can turn things around and stay up, though.
  19. For Everton fans, it's a shame to see us give away 3 goals off of set pieces and none from open play, to not have taken more of our chances/Mignolet not been brilliant, and to squander a lead in the 89th minute. For Liverpool fans, they'd think Mirallas should've been sent off and Joe Allen should've made it 3-1 early in the second half, which would've put us in a bad spot. All in all, I really wish we would've won, but it was a thrilling match, and my nerves are still going.
  20. What the hell on that last one?
  21. I was thinking more mid-level Championship would be the ideal level to loan him to. ex: Derby, Leeds, Blackburn, etc... maybe even a lower tier Championship side. He needs to go somewhere where he could definitely get 90 minutes every week. Remember, we loaned Barkley to a struggling Sheffield Wednesday and it did him a world of good.
  22. I've cooled a little on the idea of bringing him in on loan. It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up back on loan at Fulham or West Ham, though. If Seattle was willing to pay most of his absurd wages, I'd still consider it, as he's a better option than Naismith, Barkley and Mirallas both have been a little slower lately. That's just my opinion, though, and I know plenty of members on this board will disagree with me.
