  1. Good for him. Against Newport County in League 2, as Northampton are already out of the cup.
  2. Sylvain is great. Very personable on Twitter.
  3. http://www.toffeetalk.com/index.php?/topic/25811-musings-of-the-philosophy-of-loyalty-integrity-and-dignity-in-sport/
  4. I thought this might be an appropriate place for Haf and Dunc to contemplate Roberto Martinez's, David Moyes', and Dave Whelan's morality,
  5. Not sure if it's true or not. He's on one of those weird co-ownership deals w/Bologna & Juventus...
  6. Won't be much of a bidding war for a player w/6 months left. Who knows, I reckon West Ham is a mess in the dressing room right now.
  7. If the right job comes around, he's not staying. If for some reason, Barca came knocking, he'd be gone.
  8. I heard Wigan was the destination... I know the lad needs time wherever he goes, but if Wigan is the destination, part of me thinks he hasn't met his potential/developed?
  9. Signed his first professional contract a year ago today.. Also turned 18 today.. Seems like he's not really progressed into the U21 team or Reserve team yet... Hope he hasn't hit a snag in his development, I'd like to see him break into the U21/reserves in the near future and hopefully go on loan some time next season.
  10. Can't let West Ham go seeing their position in the table, but then again, Blackburn did sell Christopher Samba in the face of relegation a few years back, same w/Bolton and Gary Cahill.
  11. I don't think he's coming. Given the limited window in which he can play here, I think it would've been announced by now.

    Stoke - away

I'd put Jags back in right away, to be honest.
  13. We could definitely use another winger. I doubt he'll set the world on fire but he'll offer more than any current bench player and provide cover on the wing.
  14. I don't think so. Martinez said he needs to be getting 70-90 minutes to improve, not 5-15 at the end of a match, and I don't think Martinez rates him enough to start him. I just can't see Vellios progressing here unless he accepts a loan.
  15. I'd love to send Vellios there, as well.
  16. Fair enough. He's only 19 as well, so we'll see. At the very least, it's nice to see some youngsters getting a loan earlier in their careers.
  17. I think this is a good sign. A 19 year old (he'll be 20 come next summer) with nearly a year's experience of Championship football under his belt, along with a half season of League 1 football sounds like someone who could challenge for time/at least play a role next season. I would think?
  18. Not sure how I feel. Only good enough for League 2? We'll see, I guess.
  19. I think that's a really good sign. If they think what a 19 year old needs is first team football week in week out to progress, he must be decent. Not sure I'm as confident about Hallam Hope going out on loan, though.
  20. Baines was good, Barkley was good, Mirallas had a few moments.
  21. The thing is the names tossed around have been Barcelona and that like. Not yet. If Wenger left Arsenal, though, I could see them going for him, maybe an Athletico Madrid?

Not pleased. We need some reinforcements in January who can make an impact and allow us to rotate our squad a bit. This draw wouldn't feel very bad had we rescued a point or three against Sunderland.
