Good to see Jags back. Alcaraz not on the bench... Hurt again?
  2. Seems like there has been so much talk over the past 3-4 years of Rodwell, Barkley, Jose Baxter, and Shane Duffy that to some extent, some promising talents have slipped under the radar (Though these lads are a few years younger) like Lundstram, maybe this Browning, McAleny to some extent...
  3. You mean you have a mate who supports Tranmere too? I can't wait until the day we are linked with a player at a club in Uzbekistan or Tunisia and you get the inside scoop on your mate at that club
  4. Oops, didn't see this and posted about it in the Academy section. Nice to see another one get a loan, he'll join Matthew Pennington.
  5. I read that it's $10 million US Dollars... So 6m, which is a very fair price for him.
  6. We disagree on a lot Haf, but I think you are spot on here. He shows flairs of brilliance, but has a shit attitude.
  7. Very disappointing for Americans... Well, it's nice to see top USA players in our own league, however I'd rather see them play in Europe, especially at the prime of their careers. Bradley is a good, underrated player with a great passing range. Oh well, maybe Toronto won't be awful for once.
  8. Funny that we've been talking about forwards for the club lately... Chris Long just loaned out to MK Dons for 1 month. Midtable League 1 loan for someone who isn't 19 yet? Sounds promising.
  9. Would be great, but that'll never happen. I know sales people often have a large portion of their compensation determined by a bonus. Investment Bankers & Traders have a bonus that represents the majority of their salary determined by their bonus (around 50% of compensation for junior bankers, 80-90%+ for upper level bankers) ... Upper level executives in business (CEO's, etc) bonus is often many times their base salary and is highly dependent on their performance... Shame that it seems a base salary + signing on bonus will always be what represents a majority, if not all of a footballer's compensation.
  10. Has anyone seen McAleny beyond the 10 minutes of time he's gotten as a late sub?
  11. No. This board was very excited about him at City, but he's just never really proved that he can and will play to his perceived potential. I'd only take a punt on him if it was sub-4 or 5 million, but I doubt we could get him at that price.
  12. Mixed feelings about this one. Lower league sides away can always be tricky... They played us tough in the Capital One Cup, so we'll see. Much better draw than one of the big boys (home or away).
  13. A very nasty Everton fan on Twitter told me that Heitinga was "shite" and a "fraud"... Questioned Heitinga's professionalism. I couldn't believe it, as Heitinga was our best player in 2011/2012 and despite losing form and falling out of favor, Martinez has complimented him on his work ethic and professionalism. Sad to see him go, but a move would be best for both parties.
  14. I was disappointed by that. I follow him on Twitter, and apparently he's almost ready to return to football, so maybe he'll be able to get training again and get some reserve team action in, or maybe even a loan late in the Football League loan window (ends in late February or early March I believe).
  15. Just because he scored two against an apathetic QPR doesn't mean he's about to catch fire again.
  16. I thought it would be Tolis, although he cost us 250k (nothing really, to be honest), and a lot of people have hyped Conor McAleny even though he's had next to no first team football, but we'll see... Who knows, maybe Hope will have a really good spell at Northampton and we can arrange a loan with a Championship or League 1 side next season.

  18. Wallonia and Flanders are Everton's best players I tell you!
  19. Put on Hibbert and Heitinga. Maybe Tolis.
