  1. I know you are optimistic because Scouser Mark has reappeared.
  2. Not sure we could attract a top name manager sitting in 18th without a striker. A guy like Tuchel or Ancelotti will wait 6 months, enjoy a vacation, and get the call from a bigger club to manage. Dyche would steady the ship, but how would he do with an actual expectation of playing attacking football, getting results, buying more expensive players. Would love Rafa, but he's sitting above us in the table and that pain Mike Ashley is set to leave. Silva can clearly manage, but why would he leave Watford for us right now?
  3. Got to go. It's not going to get better under him. Saw plenty of fight early from the players but absolutely opened up in the second half. RK is clueless.
  4. It is truly bizarre on this forum when I see some try to act or imply that they have an exclusive or greater love of Everton. Not saying Haf has done it, but it has been weird when somebody pretends they love Everton more than the rest of us or that they somehow know what's in the club's best interests when the rest of us don't.
  5. For all our frustration at the things he has done running the club at times, you can't take away that Bill Kenwright is a proper Evertonian who loves the club and represents it in an incredible manner.
  6. Fair enough. I'm not sure what to make of all this. We frequently gave Moyes time to right the ship and he did, we gave Martinez plenty of time and he didn't. We're clearly missing the big #9 needed to play Koeman's system/how we want to play, so I'm not sure what we can do to get around that right now. The players are starting to show some fight, but are still painfully unclinical. Needless to say, I think the calls for Unsworth are basically calls to see some fight from the team, but I think we're starting to see that, so I'm not sure changing the manager will help. Needless to say, if we are still 16th or 17th in another 4-5 fixtures, it would be foolish not to lean towards a change.
  7. League 1 is most of the youngsters level. Probably the level Unsworth and Dunc are good enough to manage at.
  8. Well, when you give the squad a hair dryer and send out 11 youngsters in a flat 4-4-2 and we get twatted by Newcastle or Bournemouth, maybe the Evertonian crowd will realize that most of our young players are ordinary, not special, and not meant to compete with the Agueros of the world, as Unsworth and Dunc aren't meant to challenge the Peps and Mourinhos of the world.
  9. Very clear we need a striker who can finish and that also is good in the air. So many crosses played into an area with no player with heading ability
  10. Think Sigurdsson and Keane will come good. Starting to have my doubts about Klaassen, also think Sandro will come good if we start playing him paired with a bigger striker (That we don't have). Rooney will have moments of brilliance and moments where he shows his age.
  11. Desperate for a win here. The psychological gain would be way more important than three points even
  12. No idea how Williams is still on the pitch, but let's use that as a reason to fight.
  13. An Owner can't do what Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour did anymore... Even if he wanted to, Moshiri is worth $2 billion, does/can he (billionaires wealth is often tied up in illiquid assets or other securities that would result in a huge tax bill upon sale) really want to spend 30% of his net worth on player transfers?
  14. Couldn't think of a better team to play - Arsenal are also in a fan-imposed crisis, per usual
  15. Give me ROI, NI, Croatia, Sweden. Am not rooting against Denmark, but Italy wasted 2010 and 2014, Greece plays horrible football, NI would be too good of a story (don't wish ill on Switzerland)... But who cares, the U.S. won't be there, so this tournament can go to hell anyways.
  16. If he was anywhere near good enough, he'd have been registered as a part of the squad. I mean, Sam Byrne is registered to the squad....
  17. Agreed though perspective is required. Not every young talent is good enough to even warrant a shot in the first team. Lookman and Vlasic have clearly shown ability in flashes but that doesn't mean that we need to throw Conor Grant out there
  18. I'm just saying that it would be better to play with Mirallas on the wing than the current set up of playing with 3 different no 10's
  19. Let me make this clear: Unsworth could be a good guy to steady the ship, but he is not a manager who will attract talent or make us push for the top four in future seasons assuming this season is out of reach.
