  1. Ah, the world cup draw is on Friday. Wish I could care.
  2. Do we have any centerbacks left? God, we're gonna have to play Jags and WIlliams next to each other
  3. Moyes finished 17th in his first season and 11th once. Worst finish beyond that was 8th
  4. We are so shambolic at the back. Sorry guys, but we need to close up at the back, have midfielders sit in front of the defense and play the ugly game. Unfortunately I'm not sure the players have the fight for that, but we need to close up and start going for 0-0, 1-0, 1-1's
  5. I hate to say it, but we really can't play a high line and have the fullbacks push up. We have to start being more compact and deeper. We just don't have quality and pace any more to play a high line and have the fullbacks push way up.
  6. There are probably Sunderland fans who said the same thing and several of their managers who wished they hadn't burned their reputation by taking over that dumpster fire. First and foremost, the modern manager is a career minded professional who knows his ability to make a living is dependent upon results... Knowing that, managers are wise not to put themselves into bad situations that won't have an easy outcome. Also, look at the biggest jobs in England right now. Several of them could open in the next year: Man U: Mourinho seems agitated and looks like he'd love a move to PSG Chelsea: No way Conte is there in a year Man City: Haha, Pep is staying. Won't open up. Arsenal: Would two consecutive seasons of no Champions League be enough to finish off Wenger? Spurs: Poch could be in line for a bigger job Liverpool: Seems like people are growing frustrated with Klopp. His job isn't entirely secure.
  7. Maybe we should replace Ronald Koeman with.... Ronald Koeman
  8. I don't think yesterday was his fault. He set out an unproven team to give other players an opportunity to make their case for the starting 11 and rest players for the more important match on Sunday. We had some decent spells and some not so decent spells and then absolutely collapsed in an embarrassing fashion in the last 10 minutes. Yesterday not being Unsworth's fault however does not mean that the man is up for the job. That's madness. And Rooney as player-manager? This isn't 1990. The solution isn't just to bring in or empower more people who love the club. We have a serious task at hand. We could dig up Howard Kendall from the grave and prop him between Dunc and Joe Royle on the bench, but it doesn't mean the team is going to start playing at a high level.
  9. That's the first time I've ever heard Craig Dawson referred to as a superior player to any other man earning a wage playing football
  10. Imagine poor Tony Pulis having to try and teach Cuco Martina how to defend. Honestly, I would feel bad for Pulis if we brought that upon him.
  11. Some shithouse named Alan probably is what we're down to. Curbishley, Pardew, Irvine, Stubbs.
  12. Happy to be your assistant. You need some youth on your staff to give off a forward thinking/fresh image to win over the fans Yeah, I may be calling you old
  13. Why would Blanc, Tuchel, or Scolari risk their careers to inherit the dumpster fire you witness tonight. Tuchel and Blanc could also both probably go to a bigger club that isn't an absolute mess. Also, Scolari is long past it.
  14. He loves the club and we can love it with him all the way down to League One! Then our brilliant youngsters will look world class.
  15. Not to sound cynical, but maybe a light crowd at Goodison will allow the players to avoid having the pressure of the crowd getting on their back should we go behind/not finish immediately. Also, saw Kevin try to win a ball back after he lost it. What's gotten into him?
  16. This for me. Just want a positive performance from the team and am desperate to see Klaassen and Sandro put in a good shift. Need those two to find their way to comfort in our side - they are class players, I just hope they can show it here and not have to leave for Italy/France/Spain/Portugal
  17. Not a bad shout. I'll be honest, while Italy is not currently the greatest exporter of football talent nor is Serie A the best league (Definitely behind PL, La Liga, Bundesliga), Italy's greatest export is its football managers. Everything I read leads me to believe that Italy plays a much more detailed and tactical game, and that its managers go into great detail in planning for their opponents, developing a system, and giving each of their eleven players instructions. Much different than England, which until recently, was probably the least tactically focused major footballing nation.
