  1. seems to be very quick. just downloaded firefox though and all the sites seem to be nearly instant! side note, very relieved to have the site back, this is the little world i escape to at work and have missed it following the holiday break. Happy new year everyone!
  2. its wonderful to watch! my uncle upped his bet to 100CHF now from 50 because they won (bet is that we will finish above them). Theyre so fickle! Im torn between wanting Rafa to leave or not. Of course i want him to stay so that they continue to fail but at the same time sacking him will cost LFC a fortune meaning they will have to sell their players and then hopefully spiral into administration and relegation (i can dream at least!).

    Birmingham (home)

bloody hell thats one heck of a precise prediction! Im going with 2-1 to us, Donovan with a last-gasp winner after battering them all game. keep the same team.
  4. im saying no purely because i want to see our name on the chairs. I know it makes sense to share and that some of the fiercest rivalries on the continent share grounds but i dont care. i want a stadium that is home to Everton. would you move in next door and live with your neighbours? i dont think so. Was there ever any thoughts about Switch Island? I know its a little out of the way but from what i remember (i havent been there for a while so forgive me if im wrong) there was mass of open space at the end of the M57 and M62. Plus there's an Asda nearby that Tesco's could steal business from i think!
  5. fantastic game last night! was so happy to see them get so close to getting another undeserved progression in a cup before being dumped out. oh, if you guys are facebookers: http://www.facebook.com/#/group.php?gid=169680402454 couldnt resist!
  6. cant see it happening to be honest. Peanuts will sign a new contract, so will King Louis (i have a feeling he will want to repay us for giving him the chance to restart his career) and Arteta / Jags wont be attractive to anyone until theyve proven their fitness. I wouldnt mind seeing the back of the Yak but other than that cant see who would leave. If we do try to cash in on someone, it could be Peanuts but more likely in my opinion to be Rodwell. I think a lot of it hinges on our progression in Europe more than the leauge/ FA Cup. as for 12 points off the pace, thats nothing that we cant handle. This time last year we had just started our run of form too. Others above us (Sunderland, Brimingham etc) will stumble and finish mid-table. Spurs and Villa are the only real threat and im not inculding the Kopites in all this because i still think we will finish above them. Might be the lack of sleep or the fever talking, but im feeling positive!
  7. yeah i know theyre usually slow but i wouldve thought the sale of a player mightve cropped up, or at least a statement saying talks are on going. mind you, i expected the same in the summer. and the summer before. and the summmer before.... Oh, also is there any news on the other 2 loans Moyes was going on about in December?
  8. how are things being mentioned on SSN and BBC but not a word on the official site. if he has gone then its not a bad bit of business...
  9. im a little nervous to be honest, but im putting it down to the fact that ive not been able to see us play for the last 4 weeks. i hear we've been playing well and if it continues then shouldnt be a problem.
  10. i hope he stays, even if he does want more wages. The way i see it is; he leaves we are left with Jo (gone at the end of the season), Yak, Anichebe and the just-as-injury-prone Vaughn. Only Vaughn actually runs upfront so we are left with 3 lazy gits who want their goal opportunities on a silver platter. Saha offers workrate, flair, skill and goals. If he goes, we have to take a gamble on a new striker (who is going to cost a fair bit in signing then wages) and hope for the best. From a finacial point of view, it makes sense (assuming 60k over 3 years = 3,120,000, not including bonuses). We're not going to get anyone of his quality for anything near that, and even with his injury proneness its less of a finacial gamble too. 1 other danger of doing this, and think its been mentioned above, is that its going to up our wage structure around the same time that Pienaar is negotiating his contract and who would blame him if he gets pissed about all that. He is just as important to us as Louis. hopes this makes sense. had 4 hours sleep, a fair bit to drink last night and packed my glasses in my checked luggage!

    Arsenal (Away)

well, KO is about the same time as the 1st of my 3 flights today so i will miss another game. Im hoping we just get something out of it. Ive not been able to see the last few games so not sure how we're playing but any result, win or draw, against Arsenal will be good news!
  12. anyone got any idea if the game is shown in the US? Or is this going to be another internet job?

i know where youre coming from Romey but remember, they were kids playing against experienced internationals, a team who have competed in the CL. 1-0 (and we were unlucky not to draw) isnt a bad result given this. Plus we only played with 10 men, Ossie's 1st game back from injury. I cant help but look at the game, though hardly exciting, as an encouraging performance. There wasnt much creativity in the midfield but i think the fact that Ossie had to fill in for Rodwell meant that we lost our 'playmaker', for want of a better word, in the last 3rd. im happy. ish....
  14. Luckypool again... Sporting should be an interesting game though! if we have a bit more luck with injuries, no reason we cant beat them. ive just spoken to a portuguese friend and he told me Sporting are having a tough time this season. i hope he's right! but even if we do win: Club Brugge/Valencia v FC Twente/Werder Bremen Ajax/Juventus v Fulham/Shakhtar Lille/Fenerbahce v Liverpool/Unirea Panathinaikos/Roma v Standard Liege/Salzburg Hertha Berlin/Benfica v Copenhagen/Marseille A Madrid/Galatasaray v Everton/Sporting Rubin/Hapoel v Villarreal/Wolfsburg Hamburg/PSV v Athletic Bilbao/Anderlecht another tough draw...
  15. Inter v Chelski will be very interesting, as will AC vs Manure... quite an interesting but not that important, WHERE'S THE EUROPA LEAGUE!
  16. Im off for a well deserved loooong holiday and probably wont be online during the next 3 weeks (if i can help it). So, merry Christmas and happy new year to you all, here's hoping Evertons new years resolution is to pick up as many wins as possible! take it easy guys... :santa:
  17. i like myspace but only for the fact that my site is myspace/oklaptop as a massive radiohead fan it was brilliant! but then you get so much junk mail from people and bands... i got fedup. oh and the fact that the creator adds himself as a friend to EVERYONE and you cant remove him. how very very sad for him....
  18. screw Holden (in whichever way you feel appropriate!), i want to see the rest of your avatar!

spot on Bill. Ive never really liked him and never thought he was worthy of the blue shirt. i dont care that he scored 20 goals in 1 season, 2-3 years ago. Even when he was banging them in, he was lazy. He wants things on a platter. I will give this, he can be a brilliant finisher and is very strong but is rarely willing to work for the team. i know he has been injured, but he has been in training a while now, played a couple of halfs and should be fighting to compete. i think the thing that bothers me most is that he is talented but doesnt put the effort in...
  20. its a shame the "waste of space" is getting more attention.... Anyway, gave it to Duffy, just edged Coleman. Ossie played well as did most of the others. But Duffy was solid, he's going to be a biiiig player for us in the future if we can keep him...
