I'd go with Carragher (if he's not caught rugby tackling our players in the box then taking down Pienaar because he cant keep up) and Cahill (second booking after scoring in the last minute and celebrating in front of the Kop). I think the hoofball will become a rarer site as our midfield solidifies and confidence grows. At the beginning of the season i couldnt blame them for kicking it long because the midfield werent able to hold the ball which meant that hoofing gave them a bit more breathing space, even if it was only a few seconds. But if Screech plays the way he has and we have Billy, Pienaar and Arteta to release too, i think we will see more football being played. Heres hoping anyway! As for the ref... 2 reds and 8 yellows is my guess but not guessing on the scoreline!

I was made up to see that Donovan and Senderous have been included, but gutted that Johnny is missing out because his old side did a liverpool. Its just a shame that LD will only be with us for max 3 (if we qualify for the next round after Sporting) European games unless we get his stay extended. Just as well we got Senderos too considering theres no Neill or Heitinga. Does anyone know if DM has registered Jags and Arteta? Or knows where the list of our European squad is?

60k a week for a proven world class (granted, when fit) game changing player (who despite injuries is still our leading goalscorer) compared to a multi million pound fee to the club to buy the overrated, but most importantly unproven-at-level-needed, player. Then tack on a signing on fee for agent/player/both and then wages on top.... Even if Saha comes on as a sub, he can win a games. I would rather sell Yak (someone who is so lazy he makes an amputeed sloth look nippy) and use the money to keep Saha and Pienaar and maybe then buy a back up striker like Beckford. Better still, Donovan! Thats a thought, can we swap Yak for LD?

well said mate, but like we pointed out in the Coleman thread, Pip is unlikely to be dropped. It would be fantastic if LD and Coleman could forge a partnership like Baines and Pienaar. With Arteta and Screech in the midfield... Nice proposition!!! Im for the early bidding because if at the end of the 10 weeks he's continued to be awesome then other clubs with bigger wallets may come in. Dont want to see another Arshavin episode. 3mill on current performances is buttons, even 5-7 isnt bad. Also, it looks like he wants to play for us (not just him saying it, his performances so far too), which i really like to see....

hopefully its a clever little trick to make the Kopites think he wont be fit! He's not mentioned in the OS injury list (not that info from there is reliable.) if that helps...

I would choose Coleman over Hibbo but if Pip is playing there and the midfield is playing like it is, dont see it happening (Pip wont be benched whilst he is fit), especially with Arteta starting to come back and Rodwell too (whats going on with Rodders by the way?!) Im just happy to see theyre rewarding such a talented prospect. Hopefully its a 5 year deal so that when he starts regularily and makes the impact we all think he will, if a rich club comes knocking and we cant convince him to stay, we will get a lot for him. I thought he was awesome, England will have a tough game if he and Tim are examples to the USA squad. Caught sight of Dempsey too, he looks quite tricky. Im trying to not get my hopes up, but he was talking about how he would consider extending his stay. I would be over the moon if we were to sign him. Just imagine what he will be like when hes 100% up to EPL speed!

Screech, Peanuts then Donovan. Though there really wasnt a poor player on the pitch. Back 4 were solid, King Louis and Skippy were their usual busy selves. Was so happy with the performance. After the start ive had to 2010 it was a glimmer of hope. Long may these performances continue!
