  1. anyone found any highlights of this match yet on the internet?
  2. Actually think that Group J is even weaker : Shakhtar Club Brugge Partizan Toulouse But Everton shouldn't have much problems advancing IF the blues are careful with BATE .. The risk of underestimating them, plus the fact that they play very hard nosed style of football might get us in trouble.
  3. Ugh BATE .. They beat Anderlecht last year during qualifications for the Champions League ... probably one of the tougher teams in Pot 4.
  4. haha that guy from Levski looked happy to be in the group with Villareal and Lazio.

. The comments are also hilarious : "Faggots are the trash of the world, living off normal people.. Look at it this way, if you gave the faggots their own land, say, dicktopia.. How long would it last, a generation?.. They can't breed. They need normal people who build socity to live off, otherwise the fag would die off. They are dirty poop lovers who spread Aids to normal people, they are sick mental trash. God hates the fags, its in both old and new testament.. We are not homophobes, we just are sickend by pervert trash." You've got to love the bible reference to prove his point.
  7. 100% agreed. That bench would put enough pressure on the starting XI to give the full effort each game as well.
  8. All the best. Congrats.
  9. Welcome back .. but wtf? I better check with some of the other websites I visit daily if they have a problem with me being on TT, lest there be repercussions.
  10. I love how one of the reasons why he says soccer will take off in the US is because the games actually end in 2 hours ... I had never considered that an issue with American sports. I'm sure things will turn around in DC. The Nationals got an owner whose willing to spend money and even I'm excited for Stephen Strasburg and I'm 4000 miles away.
  11. That's because that town has got nothing else going on .. The Nationals suck, the Wizards suck and the Redskins are only half decent. . -- Welcome CletusVanDamme .. Have to say I disagree with you on Bill Simmons .. I thought his article on the EPL in which he chose his team was well written .. Sadly he didn't spend much time discussing Everton .. only this : "Everton -- Not only are they Liverpool's biggest rival, but multiple readers compared them to the Oakland A's -- they keep unearthing prized young stars (like Wayne Rooney, the England star who stomped someone in the nuts during the World Cup) and selling them off to one of the big teams. They also have an American keeper (Tim Howard) and one of the most famous celeb fans (Paul McCartney). Here's the catch: I like everything I read/heard about Liverpool (more on this in a bit) and don't want to have them as my rival. Sorry, Everton." (from http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/060719 ) If soccer finally takes off in America I think Simmons will have to be given some credit, he mentions soccer in most of his columns/podcasts now.
  12. Apparently Moyes considered Osman the bigger liability of the two and he bought someone that will allow him to put Pienaar RM. Having Pienaar in front of him will probably make him a little less vulnerable but keeping Hibbert will cost some points.
  13. Actually thought he was better today. In the beginning of the game he was the only one with some effort and composure. Still sub par though, like the whole team. Moyes does need to shake things up a bit, if these XI loose every game, why not give the whole academy a shot .. at least you know they will be giving an effort similar to what Burnley brought to the game.
  14. Uh? haven't noticed Cahill yet, what's he done so far? Rodwell and Fellaini are starting to take command of the midfield, we're the better team now.
  15. i'm hoping for howard hibbert yobo neville baines pienaar osman rodwell cahill jo saha and a 2-0 Everton victory.
  16. well seeing how there was already at least 12m available because that's the highest bid Everton made this offseason .. you'd figure that if Moyes gets only half of what Man City paid for Lescott, he's gonna have more than 20m to work with .. should bring in something nice. but in reality, I'm hoping he gets to use somewhere around 15m.
  17. would be nice if we had that much competition for starting spots instead of just making due as we are now .. would keep everyone on their toes. I've got a feeling we'll be making an awesome run in the second half of the season, given the right players are signed and everyone is healthy.
  18. strange .. link works for me... article confirms 22m fee.
  19. Nobody has ever said you're an idiot when you comment on his performance, it's when you refer to him as a "belgian prick" and talk about the fee that some including me take objection.. To be fair, he's yet to have a good game for Everton in the 09-10 season.. And as Bill said his stamina doesn't seem to have improved over last season, disappointing. Didn't get to see the whole game because Justin.tv was constantly giving errors, but from the bits I saw Saha was awesome. Gave him MOTM vote. Hope his performance carries over to EPL games.
  20. The White Stripes - The Hardest Button To Button.
  21. Tom Clancy - Rainbow Six ... My first Clancy book ever, quite enjoyable although he often uses poorly construed sentences ... Definitely a better writer than Grisham though, but that's the group of authors I'd place him in... Was expecting a little bit more.
  22. also : http://atdhe.net/ and http://www.myp2p.eu They both will have links for tonights' game.
  23. :D Moyes must know that this doesn't help the price City are willing to pay for Lescott, which means he doesn't care about the price, which means he won't be selling.
  24. The Black Box Revelation - Never Alone Always Together.
  25. IF you want to factor in money I think this is the proper way to look at it: Everton are paying for him in installments of about £4m per year. Was he worth 4m last year? Most definitely yes. This year he'll have to perform up to the standards of an £8m player etc.. until in year 4 he'll have to be worth £16m (or whatever the number is).. At least that's what I think Moyes was thinking when he bought a 20 year old. Once again that is IF you want to look at the money side of it. In no way is he now worth to total fee that eventually Everton will have paid for him, but that is obviously not the issue once he IS an Everton player. We should measure him by his production, effort, and every other standard that we measure Everton players by. In my opinion : his production is good, his effort is sometimes lacking which can be very frustrating to watch, he has the potential to be a very influential player (see Wigan at home last year for example), he can compete at the highest level (I think he scored the highest total of MOTM votes against the big four last year).. He does tend to have a couple of games per season that make you want to strangle him and if you focus on those (like some on this forum) you'll never see what his actual value is to the team. He's 21 now, 21. EDIT : was verifying his age on wikipedia and this sentence caught my eye : "After rejected advances from Manchester United[3] and following reported interest from Aston Villa,[4] Real Madrid, Tottenham and Bayern Munich,[5] Fellaini signed for Everton in September 2008" ... a LOT of scouts would have been wrong if this kid doesn't turn out to be a very decent premier league player in 5 years or so.
