  1. You're right but that's why people should always make a post if they vote IMO. Is this in any way possible to implement? I think it's obvious that Fellaini is one of my favorite players, but every time I've voted for him I've made it a point to justify myself thereby (trying to) excluding favoritism as a possible objection of others towards my vote. (full disclose : I've yet to vote for him this year all though I came awfully close yesterday).

well he was bought as a DM but was moved into a more offensive role when it turned out he couldn't play DM for five seconds without picking up a yellow card because he can't tackle .. but I think he's through that adjustment period .. I'd like to see him move next to Rodwell in CM instead of Neville .
  3. I think it's whatever you in your mind want it to be ... apparently two people thought Billy was MOTM against Wigan . It would have course help if the ones that voted would also post their reasons.
  4. Witsel. This happened a couple of hours ago : http://i29.tinypic.com/33e1wfd.gif Don't think he'll be transferred during what will probably be a long long suspension ..
  5. I think you're gonna be in for a surprise. Lyon has a very decent team this year, CL quaterfinal material.
  6. was tempted to give it to Fellaini but 20 mins isn't enough no matter how good the performance and the difference brought to the team. Instead, gave it to Rodwell, impressive first hour by him. Disappeared toward the end but had done enough. Neville and Distin get an honourable mention.

impressed with Fellaini .. anyone who says he's not EPL material frankly doesn't know anything about football.. good performance off the bench by Jo aswell.. defense was solid for once, good job by Dystin.. Rodwell played a good first hour, disappeared in the last 30 mins .. good game by him though.. Hope this kickstarts our season.

apart from two CB and Rodwell, nobody's taller than 5'something" .. stop hoofing it! what's the over/under on Wigan red cards? I'd say 2.

even Moyes is being tackled by these Wigan thugs. .

Pienaar must learn how to cross a ball with his LEFT FOOT. We're not tall enough in offense of midfield in this game to wait for him to cut back to his right foot and allow the defenders to cover everyone.
  16. wouldn't an Englishman always support an English team when it's playing in European competitions against continental teams? I know I do when the Belgian teams I hate most play other European teams ... but maybe that's because I need to worry about my country's coefficient in UEFA and the corresponding places in CL or Europa League that brings while English teams perform well in Europe no matter what.

looks like a good line up ... Jo, Fellaini and Billy as impact subs ... must win this game!
  18. Welcome and congrats on the choice of your avatar .

idd. 3-0 if Fellaini can match his performance of last year against Wigan .. 1-0 hard fought game if he doesn't and we once again loose the midfield battle.
  20. yeah lets hope he's not burnt out by November though.
  21. I'd compare him to Vermaelen .. not tall or fast, but feisty . He would be a great signing, but I don't see it happening at £5-6m.
  22. ?? The football side of it should be enough to want to play those 15 games (against other good teams in Europe).. It's great for scouting new players and see how they perform outside of their domestic league .. Europa League is a tough competition which gives experience to your younger players (of which we have many). add to that all the money that there is to be made (as stated by MikeO and Sporting4ever). and the exposure the team gets in a bigger market might even get you more fans. where's the downside?
  23. tssss that's how it starts moderators changing words in other users' posts .. what's next ? the annexation of the czech republic? Maybe Chamberlain can make a deal that would please both sides.
