  1. arteta really should have done better there. And Yakubu did a "Bendtner" there. Free from the penalty point.
  2. Doens't mean much .. Anthony Vanden Borre was a couple of days younger than Lukaku when he made his debut ... Now he plays for Portsmouth and can't make the national team even though Belgium has a RB problem.

    Richard Branston.

Yep works with firefox here too.
  4. Crusade in Jeans by Thea Beckman. Was my favorite book when I was 12. Still enjoy reading it once in a while. Still pissed that the movie they made based on that book was such a piece of shit.
  5. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. This show is great, laugh-out-loud-funny.
  6. He's not going anywhere for another season at least. When he does leave Anderlecht I fear it wont be to go to Everton. Made his international debut for Belgium yesterday btw.
  7. This is impressive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gevL8THY2Q .
  8. why is everyone all of a sudden putting Rodwell in the second striker role?
  9. That is unbelievably good news. So basically what Shawcross did is similar to what kyrgiakos did to Fellaini. I don't know if that should be interpreted as meaning that Shawcross is not a reckless player or that kyrgiakos made the dumbest tackle of the past season.
  10. I agree with you. What I'm saying is that the solution starts with the end of the nation-state.
  11. That's a pessimistic view .. A common goal can be just as good to unify. Look at the European Union, a common market with fundamental rights protection for the individual has led to prosperity and peace 60 years and counting. National sovereignty has become a meaningless notion. Can't wait for patriotism to die.
  12. I'm actually hoping for a New World Order. This idea of "Countries" has gone on long enough now, doesn't make any sense anymore. Sovereignty now!
  13. ESPN made a list of the fifty best players in the world .. I generally agree with it apart from some obvious mistakes (rankings of Essien, Xavi, Luis Fabiano, ...) .. Check out who's number 50 , a bit ridiculous to see him on that list. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/story/_/page/worldcup101-03012010/ce/us/best-players-2010-world-cup?cc=5739&ver=global .
  14. Best goal celebration ever. .
  15. Me too.. First winter Olympics I've watched regularly. I will definitely be watching more Biathlon, Nordic combined and maybe even some curling .
  16. Well, It's over. In case you missed it, here's an enjoyable recap of what happened : http://tv.gawker.com/5482253/the-xxi-winter-olympic-games-the-failure-that-was .
  17. anybody else following this new show "Spartacus Blood and Sand"? Not too impressed with it so far ... just a lot of gore and nudity.
  18. Voted for Rodwell. Definitely looks like he's best suited in midfield.
  19. The only manager I'd rather have is Wenger. Other than him, Moyes is number one. Most teams would kill to have Moyes run their team.
  20. Hamburg v Anderlecht ... They've destroyed Athletic Bilbao yesterday and have been impressive all year. (plus I like them ). Rubin Kazan v Wolfsburg ... Dzeko en Grafite are too much to handle. Atlético Madrid v Sporting CP ... I don't understand how anyone could loose to Sporting :angry2: . Benfica v Marseille ... One of the best teams. Panathinaikos v Standard ... Standard is going to run out of luck soon. Lille v Liverpool ... Hope to God I'm wrong. Juventus v Fulham ... Easiest pick IMO. Valencia v Werder Bremen ... To me, Valencia is the outspoken favorite to win it all. Some really good teams still in it. I quite like the Europa League.
  21. That's the cartoon network?
  22. In that article it says wait.. what? Anyway, driving in the buslane, I'm still morally outraged.
  23. Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check that out. There was some of that in Band of Brothers as well. 60 years after it happened some of them still have trouble sleeping.
