I've been quietly impressed with Mcgeady in the right parts of the pitch. Has looked a little careless coming out of our own half, but I think he's definitely capable of a little bit of magic in and around the box. Really missing Mcarthy's protection of the back 4 so far too, but think we've had enough possession and created opportunities to get the ball in the right place.... Palace will tire second half and (fingers crossed) we'll win 2/3-1.

Everton 2-0 Palace Mirallas

Coped much better with injuries this season I reckon. Pretty much all the ones we've had, have been to lads in form or confirmed starters. Look at the 6 who are out at the moment; Jags, Pienaar, Oviedo, Gibson, Kone, Traore... and the others who have missed some part of the season due to injury. From memory; Baines, Distin, Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku. If we had been 'taking a water pistol to a gunfight', in previous years our water pistol would have been dripping into our shoes and we would have battled bravely, but still got nothing. I also feel that we've been more prepared to allow players to recover fully before putting them back into the mix... with the odd exception obviously.

Good half that. 2-0 and could arguably be more if the final ball was better on a few occasions. Arsenal coming back into it, but we've been comfortable with pretty much everything they've thrown at us.

Everton 3-1 Arsenal Deulofeu

I quite liked the '91 Marseille team with Jean Pierre Papin, but remember wanting them to get slotted for some reason in the European Cup final by Red Star Belgrade.

I like how Lukaku has been playing in the last couple of games. First touch has improved massively, and he is really linking play nicely. Would love to sign him before the summer, and think £20m for a 20yr old who will only get better season on season is a gamble worth taking.

I read it as they can't buy or sell players. Loans would (I imagine) be a completely different kettle of fish. Unfortunately, I can well see them recalling Gerry for next season, but agree he would be so much better for another season playing regularly for us (and in the Champions League )

I think Deulofeu stayed for another year he could potentially have a similar impact to Ronaldo at United. Definite similarities in their style of play, and the challenge they will both have had to overcome in adjusting to a new league etc.

Naismith, as he has done on a few occasions this season, completely changed our performance. Notable mentions for Deulofeu and Stones. To quote the commentator "Look out Arsenal, Everton are coming to get you".

If they all get in to the WC squad, it'll completely dispel the myth of players from top 4 getting easy ride into the squad.

It certainly is now. Arsenal slip up again leaving us 6 pts behind with a game in hand, and still to play them. Could be a really enthralling end to the season if we can maintain momentum.

Don't care if he only played half an hour, Naismith brought energy to the rest of the side and completely changed how we played I thought. Notable mentions for Barry, Coleman and Mirallas.

There've been occasions in school where we've had to send kids for tests to assess their ages. Things like bone density etc. That fella is never 17 though. I thought we got stung with Bakayoko. Lol

I'd take him back, only problem as everyone has said is his injury history. He's had best part of 12 mths not playing, and may well have gotten over some of the niggles.
