I remember reading something somewhere else on the forum (but can't remember where) about how Redknapp conducts the majority of his transfer dealings.
If he is asked about a player, then he will actually turn around and say something along the lines of 'Yes, were interested but I'm not too sure if his club are prepared to sell... etc). Effectively he taps these players up to unsettle them .
Moyes was asked about Kuranyi today, and he maintained his usual dignified stance.
[*]Sky - How far along the line did the Kuranyi deal go, and are you likely to do something in the summer?
[*]Moyes- You've interviewed me often enough to know my answer to that. I don't like to talk about players at other clubs. If he's not here then I don't think its right to talk about other clubs players. I'm only interested at the moment in the players who are here, and who are available for wednesday
Excellent response and showed the way it should be done in my opinion!

They are shite. I would love them to go down along with the skunks!
-
Perhaps signed but allowed to stay at Sligo for the rest of the season???
-
Saw that on Sky before.
So it was those 'Kuntz' that pulled the plug not the player?!?! One for the summer I think. According to Silkman, Moyes tried to sign this lad a few years back, but couldn't get it sorted.
Top player!

I'm really optimistic about it all to be honest.
Moyesy went after him in the summer (apparently) but we couldn't afford him. I trust Moyes judgement, because he obviously saw something last year, and has seen enough in the odd games he's had for city to push something through for him!
Look on the positive side; we have a fast, tricky goalscorer with a point to prove, who hasn't cost anything.
I would've monked in my kecks if we'd got Kuranyi aswell!

Deep Purple - Smoke on the WATER

Up to about 4 inches now, and the snow is still falling!!!
Could be a nice day or 2 off work!
-
ALL DONE NOW!
Wonder how far down the line we got with Kuranyi?!?!
-
Only 5 minutes to go!
Couldn't see Eagles coming on loan, although reckon he'd be a decent buy!
-
German international from Schalke
-
Kevin Kuranyi......
Not bad if it comes off!
-
I don't get the article in the Echo and the Post.
Says Moyes may look to get a quick winger in, but will want to free some space up first!?!?!?!
Is a squad of 23 (when their all fit) too big???
-
Now on level 19

Save the picture and zoom.....

Got to number 16, and then struggling with the clue!
-
Had about 2-3 inches here. The school I work at was the only bloody one in the area that was left open, until 12.30 when the head sent us all packing! WOO HOO!
-
Only Sky Sports for me I'm afraid.
If Rory Delap got sent off for booting the ball at Wright Phillips yesterday, then Gerrard should have got the same for what he's just done to Bosingwa! Never happen though! Gobshite!
-
lmao!
Reckon Welbeck might be more of a reasonable option if he has had anything to with it!
-
Close one for me tonight.
Howard - outstanding tonight.
Hibbo- kept greasy boy under pressure all night.
Jags and Lescott - Solid again, and think Joey has a real scrap on his hands to get back in the starting 11.
Baines and Pienaar were great first half and were really our main threat.
-
Not been able to reply because of a crap laptop!!!!!
Thought the penalty decision was a soft one! We could have had a penalty near the end with Lescott, but we never ever get the rub of the green on penalty decisions! NEVER!
Boys defended well again, and I thought Utd were in control all the way through, although we caused some problems in the 1st half down the left hand side especially with Pienaar and Baines.
The positive we can take I suppose is that the Shite are now 5 points behind, and will hopefully get beat by Chelsea tomorrow! United are not as soft as that shower and I can't see them letting that lead slip!
-
Castillo gave the ball away fair few times, but to be 'a bit off the pace' would be expected I think as he's hardly played!
Second half, I thought he actually did quite well. Broke play up and moved the ball up the pitch well a couple of times.
-
It would appear that Shandy Andy is also on his way. His contract seems to have gone on forever.
Some cracking players in and amongst that little lot! Mikel, Eboue, Kalou, Mbami all worth a punt, and were we linked with that Guzman from Deportivo before.
I bet we end up Vassell though <_<

Can't argue with statistics today. Liverpool did control possession massively (75%/25%).
At the end of the day, you can weave pretty triangles all you want because if you can't score you don't deserve to win. Against our understrength side, you'd be expected to put us to bed.

GET IN THERE!!!!!
Liverpool (replay)

So.... Super Stevie Me has gone off. COME ON YOU BLUES!
Crowd sounds amazing by the way!
*edit*
Fuckin cunts trying to level the thing up now, by getting Cahill booked. Oh no, of course they're not.... it's only United that try to unsettle the ref isn't it Rafa you prick!?!?!?
