  1. It’s from a fake Charles Stevenson account.
  2. Walcott and Tosun cost £60m last year in this window - add another £24m that Schneiderlin cost in the 2017 January window. All started great but none are for the long-term. Yes, we need players that will improve us but no expensive short-term fixes like these thank you!
  3. I hope we can firstly get rid of a few in this window e.g. Schneiderlin, Niasse and Tosun - I can’t see a future for any of them. I want young/quality players brought - players Silva can coach and mold. Right back - I really like Wan Bassaka but have seen Aarons from Norwich mentioned too who I haven’t seen as much but is getting rave reviews. Central mid - I want Gomes long-term - top player! I do think we need another who can replace Gueye in games like yesterday when maybe his qualities aren’t as important. Someone like Doucoure can do the lot - I also like Billing at Huddersfield - I think he’ll be a top top player. Att - I want Lozano and think he’ll be reunited with Brands eventually. Still think we need another too - maybe a more physical presence a little further along the line than DCL. I’d still want these players in the summer but it’d be a bonus if we could bed one or two long-term targets in now which would benefit us long-term.
  4. It’s not the fact that Gana is a ball winner - nor is it that Spurs were missing their ball winners in Dier/Wanyama. It’s the fact that Gueye is a better fit than Davies. I won’t say better player as Davies has many attributes ‘better’ than Gueye but, for our current set-up, I’d much rather have Gueye playing alongside Gomes than Davies. Spurs have much better options in central midfield than us. Sissoko and Winks don’t need a label; they’re just very good footballers.
  5. ...and pay him £300k a week - that after his eight figure signing-on fee - that after being really cheeky to Arsenal with the £50m plus add-ons for a player, if they didn’t have already, would 100% not sign under the current manager. Anyway, I don’t think this is a good idea.
  6. For what you’d have to pay, Wilson would be a massive risk. In the current market, you’re looking at around £40m for a player who has had major surgery in both knees. I’d love him if we had him already and if he was coming to the end of his contract on the cheap he’d be a no brainer but for what you’d have to pay vs the risk - it’d be ridiculous.
  7. Top, top player. A young Anelka in this team would be perfect.
  8. We should have paid £50m for Keita or Fred because Gueye is clearly shite!
  9. I can’t see him going any time soon but it would have to be a world record fee for a keeper to even begin any negotiations. I’m not saying he’s the best keeper in the world but the hype around him and the lack of need to sell on our behalf and United’s need to replace de Gea (should he go) would all stack in our favour.
  10. Just come on for Brazil - it’s on itv4 if anyone’s interested.
  11. Go on the Premier League App and look at the player stats comparison tool and select Gana vs Kante - there’s actually not a lot in it in any department. I’m sure Gana doesn’t play forward passes is another ToffeeTalk myth.
  12. Pickford for the key moments but Gylfi’s, Gana’s and Gomes’ work shouldn’t go unnoticed against Chelsea’s midfield which, in my opinion, is only bettered by Man City’s.
  13. Excellent again today. Head to head with the best in the world at that role - not much between them today.
  14. Spot on. He’s experienced enough to have seen Martial there (regardless of who’s job it should have been - it’s a team game!) and will know that he could have prevented that goal had he not switched off/ been lazy/ whatever. Overall he’s done well for us and been a good signing up to now.
  15. I hope Wan Bissaka is someone we look at to eventually replace Seamus - he looks the real deal. I can see Man U being in for him. Really impressed with him again today.
  16. Think it was more a case of give a few other players a chance against a very average Scotland team.
  17. Thought he was decent yesterday, personally. Him and Kenny had the beating of Chilwell every time. He should have released Richarlison in the 1st half and should have played Tosun in with a better ball at the end but thought he did play overall and feel he’s been one of our most consistent players this season. As a front four, yesterday’s is our strongest in my opinion.
  18. He was very poor today - many others were but he’s my biggest concern.
  19. I like him but can see Richarlison taking the striking spot and Bernard on the left.
